Egyptian Book of the Dead: The Book of Coming Forth By Day- The Book of Enlightenment

Protect this man at all costs!!! This is my first book by Muata Ashby... well actually I purchased 3 books by him all at once not knowing his style of writing or anything and I must say this book is OVERLOADED with information! He can't be human because how does he know all this??? He breaks the information down so that anyone at any reading level can understand and he has also provided beautiful pictures so someone like me who sometimes drifts off in the middle of paragraphs will have the pictures to keep me intrigued lol I love this book! I just received the book today but it's already my favorite book purchased in 2025 and I'm going to buy all the rest of his books! I had purchased a book of the dead by a different author and he wrote it using the words "thou" and "thee" like it was a biblical book and I didn't like that and returned it. This book so far I don't see it written out like that. I do see the word "Lord" which I don't understand if we know "neb" means Lord then why not just put neb if that's the word the ancient Egyptians actually used? But either way I'm satisfied by this book. Thank you so much for sharing your knowledge. Because of you I am enlightened! <3

I have learned so much from this book and will be one I over and over for his books are like Kemetic Scriptures for me.

I find the information and illustrations in the book helpful for anyone who is interested in ancient Kemetic civilization, history, and culture.

Trying to find my way for years. I've read the Book of the Way, delved in pieces of the Bible and the Quran. Learned about Buddhism and Hinduism...just really trying to find my culture and where my heart feels grounded. The Book of the Dead is extremely enlightening. And even though this is not an official text like the "bible" per se, Muata does a great job of explaining the Gods and Goddesses, top to bottom, considering you do need to read an entire separate book for that.. nonetheless he grabbed the essence of what the Gods really stood for and even though this bad boy is a couple thousand pages long, he does state the most IMPORTANT CHAPTERS , if u cannot read all, just read what he recommends . It is suggested to read this with someone who is enlightened but unfortunately that is not possible for many of us. I still think you can decipher most of this text and meditate on its teachings regardless. Dive deep. It is the root of everything we've ever believed in or known. A lot of lightbulbs went off. I only wished I discovered this as a kid and then I would not have wasted so much time on reading whatever I could get my hands on in the last 20 yrs. I will be buying more books from this author, and for my son as well.

This is an excellent book for the understanding and mindset of what kemetic philosophy really entails and how all other religions adopted the spiritual framework of ancient Kemet, and the steps to take toward true spiritual enlightenment. To correct one reviewer it must be understood that to get the true understanding of a philosophy you must delve into its esoteric base which ends with enlightenment and awareness of self. Even though it's never presented to the masses, that goes for masonry, Christianity, Hinduism, Islam, Buddhism, Hebrew, Rosicrucianism, and any other philosophy of the world. The masses are to believe in different symbols as actual representing gods and beings when actuality they are tools to make the mind understand the truth about creator and how it isn't separate or outside of self but is self and everything that exist. Even though Muata Ashby has his degree, he focuses on what The book is really about and not the unnecessary speculation. When you are looking for western academic sources trying to understand an ancient culture you are no different than a Christian looking for jesus or Muslim looking for allah, lost in the myth of the scripture

Outstanding enlightenment that unlocks the mysteries within the spirituality of the very first "Bible" in the world. The Coming Forth by Day is the foundation for the three major religions and others throughout the world. I now have a better understanding of the illusionary world of duality that most humans believe is reality.
