Mounting Dream TV Wall Mount for Most 32-70 Inch TV

If you're contemplating a $100 mount to hold your small-ish TV, put down the $100 mount and think again. (I actually took my $100 mount back to Best Buy without even opening it. You see, I didn't put it down in time. Don't be like me.) This mount is absolutely perfect for a 24" Vizio that cost around $170. Why pay nearly 2/3 the TV price for a mount? Crazy. The maximum hole spacing on this mount is 100mm which is ideal for a lot of small TVs. You could get a bigger mount for a possible TV upgrade down the road, but the bigger mounting plate might interfere with inputs on the back of the TV. Keep it simple with this small mount. And if you ever upgrade to a bigger TV, just upgrade the mount right along with it. From the perspective of weight, this could hold a much bigger TV. The only issue would be the hole layout on the bigger TV. This comes with everything you need and more. It includes several different screw sizes to accommodate common hole sizes on TVs, and it includes both lag bolts for installation into a stud, and anchors for installation into concrete. It also includes a wrench, but the wrench isn't used for installation (I believe it's only intended for tightening the bolt for the tilt). For installation into a stud you'll need a drill with 1/8" drill bit, a screw driver, and an adjustable wrench or socket set for turning the lag bolt. I think the lag bolt size is metric. I didn't have a socket that fit it, so I used the adjustable wrench with no problem. Most people can install this without instructions, but they're worth looking at to make sure you use the included washers/spacers when necessary. Our 24" Vizio TV is only 6.8 pounds so it's on the very low end of what this mount can hold. Ideally, this mount would extend straight from the wall a couple more inches, but I understand with larger, heavier TVs a longer arm poses a structural problem. Anyway, this is installed on the wall of the top bunk of a bunk bed, and the TV can be rotated a full 90-degrees (so it's perpendicular to the wall) without coming into contact with the wall. There's an inch or two gap which is good, but it doesn't leave a lot of wiggle room. On bigger TVs this would be an impossible configuration given the arm extension length of this mount. Just keep this in mind if your application is for the TV to be perpendicular to the wall most of the time. Overall I have to say this is a great mount and I couldn't ask for more given the price. UPDATE 1/25/16 (Original review 1/22/16): The advertised 360-degree rotation of the mounting plate cannot be tightened/fixed with the bolt through the mounting plate. That bolt only tightens/fixes the tilt position. So even with a fixed tilt position the mounting plate will rotate 360-degrees. This is a slight annoyance, but not enough to change my original review score, especially considering price. Just FYI in case you're looking to be able to lock the TV into a certain position axially around the bolt.

I assembled this after my family gave up on it. I guess it looked too intimidating to start working on, so they left it to me... I actually had some trouble drilling the holes in the studs because I'd never drilled into a wall before. I also had to use a stud-finder. That being said, I did get the hang of it and was able to safely set this up and put a TV on it all by myself. I did NOT think that the little wrench in the box was appropriate for installing the big screws into the drilled holes in the wall studs. The fact that the screws had screwdriver scorings on them was ridiculous. Nobody in their right mind would take the time and expend the amount of effort needed to screw those things into the wall. I think it should be made absolutely clear that you need extra tools to complete the installation. I was able to use a socket wrench with one of the handles that has a winch on it. It still took a bit of time, but that was infinitely easier than using the aluminum cookie-cutter tools in the kit. Anyhow, besides aggravation on the install, I think it's a great stand if it's holding a TV in a place that isn't going to be bumped. The TV can easily be rotated I think 360°, like the hands of a clock, on the XY axis. This allows you to customize which direction you want your TV/monitor to be presented in (landscape/portrait). It's a nice feature, if you're going to use it. I'm a little irritated by it because every time I bump the TV, I have to dig out the level (one came in the kit--- nice!) and gently poke the TV back to the proper orientation. Also, the directions say not to use the stand if your drywall is thicker than maybe half an inch or so. Mine drywall is actually an annoying 0.75in thick. I broke the rules. I prayed that it would work and made sure my bolts were in pretty tight. The TV has been up there for a few months, so I don't think it's going anywhere. My TV isn't huge, but it is pretty big. I think it weighed around 15 lbs (,and the TV stand directions say you can put up any TV <=25lbs). This is just my experience. My installation was a success, even though I broke the rules. I'm not saying you should do it, but it might work, if you run into the same problem... I hope this review helps someone who goes to install this. Make sure to find a nice socket wrench for those big wall screws! It's a good stand for the price. The actual stand feels like a quality piece of material. It's some solid metal.

We love this mount! The mount was easy to install and took about 1/2 hour to complete everything. We used this mount for a 48" Vizio Tv previously sitting on a stand while we chose our wall mount online, the in store selection was terrible and expensive. We chose this mount based on reviews. It is good quality, heavy steel, and functions wonderfully. It is also low profile when folded up against the wall. We purchased 2 mounts at the same time. The other mount will be used to hang an older 2008 Model RCA LCD TV which is heavier and thicker in design in our guest bedroom. The versatility of the Vesa pattern for this mount also sold us as our RCA TV has 200 X 100 VESA pattern. All the hardware is included for every application situation, it is packaged neatly and easy to identify. The level built in to the mount is accurate as well! We have stored the extra hardware and pieces for the future as we replace TV's we may need the hardware. The HDMI cable included works and is a nice feature. Similar mounts at big box stores were over $100.00 and most of those were not full motion mounts nor did they include an HDMI cable! Incredible buy, good quality and great value! Tools we used: Stud finder, drill, and impact wrench for driving the lag bolts into the stud. If you are not sure how high you want your TV to be then cut a piece of cardboard or other similiar lightweight product to the same size as your TV and tape it to the stand (do copy the VESA hole location to your carboard template so that you have an accurate faux TV model attached to the wall mount). Have your partner hold your wall mount with faux TV up agaisnt the wall until you find your desired height/location realative your stud locations and mark the spot. This elimiantes drilling unneccassry holes in the wall if you find the height is not to your liking after everything is mounted eliminating frustration. Installation Notes: We actually left the stand on the TV when we hung it. We utilized the stand as place to sit our two foot level and make fine tune adjustments before removing the stand. We also left the stand on because we hung the TV a couple of times (just by the bracket) to make adjustments and kept sitting the TV back down on a box below the wall mount location instead of walking across the room to place the TV face down on pillows. (We had a house full of kids for a sleepover and a dog to contend with so walking across the room with a large expensive TV was not really an option.) Vizio Specific Note: If you have a newer Vizio (ours is a 2015 model) with the triangle neck attached to it. The neck is actually inserted inside the TV and held in place by 4 screws. On the Vizio you will need to remove the top two mounting screws on the back to leave the stand on during mounting if you want to do as we did. Once the Vesa bracket is installed on the back of the TV the top two holes are covered for the stand preventing full removal later on if you leave the stand on as we did while installing. Once we were done installing the TV mount we removed the final two screws for the stand and setup was complete. I cannot comment on mounting the older RCA TV but if anything note worthy pops up I will add to my review.

Despite claims to the contrary, this mount does not come with mounting hardware for a 65" Samsung QLED made in 2018. All the bolts are too small or too short. Fortunately, I had bolts (you need metric) that worked. Other than that, the mount is fine: it's solid and the mechanism to move the TV in/out, left/right is sturdy and holds well.

Mounted a Hisense 32" H55 (model # 32H5500F) Quality: I'm impressed with the quality of this mount. With the amount of crap available these days, it feels like a major score to receive something in the mail of good quality. The hardware that needs the most torque can be installed with a large screwdriver or wrench, reducing the possibility of stripping the screw out. Threads are cut well, and when everything is in the right place it all lines up for easy assembly. Assembly and Installation: It comes mostly assembled. The only part you have to put together are the brackets that screw to the TV, which makes sense because even though the distance between screw holes is standardized, the bolt patterns on the backs of TVs are not standardized for some reason. The instructions on how to do this are very clear and easy to follow. All the parts are numbered to make assembly a cinch. If you are capable of using a stud finder to locate a stud in the wall, you can install this on your own. You'll need an electric drill and socket for attaching it to a wall and a screwdriver to attach it to the TV. A wrench comes with it, but I didn't use it. The coolest part of the whole thing is the included bubble level. It has a lip and a magnet that fits perfectly and will not fall off while twisting the mount all over the place as you try to screw it to the wall one handed. I'm actually keeping the level for future use! Positioning of the TV: It moves in every direction possible, even tilting up and down. It will fold up within a couple of inches of the wall for a very clean look or stick straight out about 12". I mounted a 32" TV in my wife's home office on the wall above and to the left of her desk. The mount sticks out from the wall far enough to angle the TV towards her desk chair and tilts down for a direct line of sight from her seated position. It turned out to work perfectly for this location and size of TV. Overall, I'm very impressed and will be buying more of these mounts for other rooms we are adding TVs to. I highly recommend this mount for smaller TVs.

The "Mounting Dream TV Mount" was indeed a dream to install. The provided mounting template made placement relative to the studs very easy, they even include a small (but accurate) level to make the process even easier since you can easily handle the level and template at the same time. The mount has added bracket inserts to insure you can secure to studs on both sides of the mount, simply and securely. The range of motion is great with ample horizontal and vertical flexibility for any viewing position. Once the bracket is attached to the wall, the TV bracket easily attaches to the wall mount with large set screws to insure the two parts will not separate once mounted. The mount comes with all necessary screws and directions of the drill bit size to use for pilot holes. As pictured, I used this to mount my 65" TV - it feels secure in any viewing position desired. Highly recommend this product not only for the installation ease and heavy-duty construction, but the price for the quality is unmatched by any other mount I viewed

This is by far the most complete kit I have ever used to wall mount a new lage 65" samsung on the wall. The mount will let the tv pull out from the wall, slip side to side angle a large amount left to right, Allow you to adjust the tv's tilt angle. There is no assembly of the wall mount and it comes with all hardware you need to mount to drywall with studs, brick, stone, even concrete. Find your wall studs and mark them. Determine the height on the wall you want the tv. All fasteners to mount to wall are included. using the supplied kit of screws and spacers mount two bracket to back of tv, very simple. Hang tv on bracket and tighten two already installed locking screws. You will need a phillips screwdriver, socket wrench, tape measure. There are only three steps from start to finish. Holds up to 100 pounds and works .perfectly. It honestly took me less than 45 minutes from start to finish. It operates super smoothly. A great product for the price.

High quality product, easy to install and good performance as in movement front and back plus the rotation to left and right are spot on. Recommended ... It's just that since delivery is from out of India, it got postponed q couple of times, eventually got it.
