A well thought out toy.
We bought this for our autistic granddaughter. She is a little tough on toys but this one has survived for quite a while. Arrived well packed and in excellent condition. Not real issues in setup except for the the GD wanting to take it apart to play with it. All in all, a excellent purchase. Am shopping the vendor for more products like this for future gifts.

Fun & Cute but a Little Overpriced
My girls and I love to play with this Melissa and Doug Magnetivity set. The magnetic scenes/buildings click together easily and have cute colorful illustrations that provide a great backdrop for play and a large amount of accessory magnets are provided as well. I also like that the box it comes in can be used to store the pieces. A lot of Melissa and Doug products don’t come with this type of packaging that completely closes, so this is nice. There are a couple things that I wish were different about the set, mainly the listed price point. I purchased this hospital set when it was on a good sale but have been hesitant to buy other sets because I feel like they are priced about 10$ too high. Also, although the ambulance is adorable and clicks together easily it is difficult for smaller hands to push around without caving the walls in. My older daughter finally learned to push it by the bottom base instead of the top magnetic part but I feel like one more middle support piece in the base would keep it from caving in when pushed from the top.Overall I’m very happy with this set and recommend it but will be waiting for the other sets to go on sale before I purchase them.

Pricey but well made
Neat little play set for kids who love to play/pretend they are in the medical field. There are a lot of small bits and pieces, but thankfully they are easily stored with the diorama since the pieces are magnetic. On the flip side, being magnetic and small means you need to watch your children if they are young and like to put things in their mouth. Even low power magnets can be dangerous if swallowed. The background panels can be arranged in various ways, and the two little people can have different accessories attached to them. Though it says this only comes with two figures, it actually comes with four. However, only two of them are magnetic and can have accessories attached to them. The other two - the doctor figures - are the ones who are plain wooden figures which is a bit of a bummer. And being magnetic, kids can also play with or store the pieces on a fridge or front of a dishwasher. Also a good set to help explain to nervous kids (and their parents) what to expect when they visit a doctor or hospital. Everything from checking in, going to the exam room, what various radiology scans look like, what an operating suite looks like, etc. For younger children, this can be a less stressful way than showing them pictures pulled off the internet.Melissa & Doug is a great name in the world of toys if you want a toy that is made well and can stand up to years of play. The tradeoff is that you do pay for this durability and that is reflected in the price of this set. Melissa & Doug toys are an investment, but chances are high that these toys will not only last for your child(ren), but their child(ren) as well. Their toys are excellent for daycares or classrooms thanks to how long they last.

Great interactive set that works well with other magnetivity sets
I really love these magnetivity sets. There is so much scope for the imagination with them. The best part is that they will all work with each other, so you can mix and match sets and create some really expansive worlds. The Hospital set comes with two wood + magnet people, a plastic vehicle base, eleven magnetic house pieces, four magnetic vehicle pieces, and a sheet of magnetic pop outs used to decorate and be props for your house and people. There are also two plastic stands for holding magnetic pop out people. The best way that I can think of describing these sets is as a combination of legos and paper dolls. The magnets on the house panels are sturdy, and can hold the weight of the dolls with no problem. Sometimes the panels shift if you jostle them hard enough, but for the most part they stay put.The ambulance panels tend to shift and fall down if you try to drive it around like a toy car while they are on, which is the reason for my taking a star off of this set (and all of the other vehicle sets that I have reviewed). The only part about these sets that annoys me is that some of the magnetic pop outs have extra space under the design and wind up covering more of the people than you want. Trimming with sharp scissors solves this, but it takes skill and patience to do it in a way that doesn't hurt the printed image or the way that it is mounted onto the magnet. The magnetic pop outs come out fairly easily, but an adult should probably punch them out, because some of the pieces are more intricate and can wrinkle or tear if not popped out slowly and carefully.
