easy install
worked great to tap a new drain line in to an existing one. easy install and significantly less digging than splicing a whole "wye" into the existing. I primed and glued all around the contacting surface of both the new and existing pipe and caulked inside, hopefully it doesn't leak and let roots grow in but for now, im impressed.

Fits 4" sewer or Sched 40
This was a lifesaver for adding an RV drain to our existing septic system. Instead of needing to dig up a bunch of pipe to install a regular Tee, I only had to dig to the place I intended to tap into it. After deciding where I wanted it, I marked the hole I would need to cut with a marker, then cut it out with a router. The Tee is made from flexible plastic, so that it can tap into either 4" sewer pipe or 4" schedule 40 DWV, flexing to fit either diameter tightly as you tighten the nuts. The flange will fit over 4" schedule 40 DWV, but it also fit perfectly over the outside of a 4" sewer elbow fitting, as shown in the picture. I highly recommend this. No idea why they don't stock these at hardware stores.

These saddle-Ts are great
Let me tell you, thes saddle-Ts are wonderful. Why husband and zip bought some acreage that had a metal building with a bathroom. There was 200ft between the building and the septic tank, with no clean outs. I bought 2 of these saddle-Ts. I attached one to the septic pipe close to the building and the other 100ft, halfway to the tank. Once the pipe was exposed it was so easy to install the 2 clean outs. I glued the saddle-Ts to the pipe waited a few minutes then instead the clamp bolts to the pipe and tightened the bolts down. Then I cut the hole in the pipe with the circular cutter connected to my drill, inside the top hole on the saddle-T. I was Then able to attach the cleanout pipe and cap. I am a 67year old woman. Easy pezzy quick and easy. I am not going to pay thousands of dollars to someone, when I can do it myself!

Distorts when clamping it down.
It works however clamping it down so that it barely conforms to a 4 inch pvc pipe distorts its making it very difficult to insert a 4 inch PVC pipe into the now oval fitting

Saved me a lot of work
I needed to "tap into" an existing yard drain line to add another drain pipe. This device made the job easy, particularly since I didn't have to dig up 6 feet of buried pipe in order to cut it, lift it out and insert a tee. With the saddle tee, I dug up just a foot of pipe, drilled a hole in the side with a hole saw, and attached the saddle tee over the hole. Then I was able to slip in my added drain pipe and bury the whole mess. Elsewhere, I have done the same job using rubber tees that can be squashed and compressed to fit over the pipe, but this saddle tee is much easier to use and it fits better. Instructions recommend to glue the saddle in place, but I didn't do that for this buried drain pipe, where all the connections are just non-glued slip fit anyway. Because I didn't glue the saddle tee, I was able to rotate it slightly to get it in line with the new incoming pipe, and then I tightened the U-Bolts a bit more to lock it in place.
