Little expensive, but worth the price!
I got this product the same night when my turtle lays eggs which is Friday. I was expected to receive it on Monday as it said so. But it came on Saturday! This machine was a bit too expensive for me. But I wish to give the best to my turtle. I have it here to help me hatch my babies and it works well! Thanks to the machine to bring my babies to the world! Update 2/22/23 This is my second time using this product for the eggs. But this time the temperature is not going up at all. I set it to be 28 degree, but it only go around 24. I thought it needs time to heat up but it is been a week. I don't know how to fx this problem.

Catastrophic Failure Caused Animal Deaths
UPDATE: This incubator worked reliably for years, even after I stopped using the external temperature controller I had originally installed. Then, one morning, I discovered it had overheated to 54°C (129°F) and was still climbing. Everything inside was dead. Although the Amazon listing states the maximum temperature is 107°F (42°C), my unit can reach 60°C—lethal to most living organisms. It had somehow set itself to the maximum temperature without any input from me. This critical failure highlights a serious design flaw and the need for an external monitoring or alarm system to detect unsafe temperature conditions. Original Review: I received the unit today and, as expected, found the temperature control imprecise. The incubator only activates heating or cooling when the temperature drifts 2°C (about 5°F) from the setpoint. For example, if set to 30°C, it won't engage again until the temperature falls below 28°C or rises above 32°C. This makes it unsuitable for precise applications, especially in rooms where ambient temperature already fluctuates within that range. The unit has two fans: one at the top that blows downward and another inside that circulates air over the Peltier element. Since both fans only run during active heating or cooling, temperature stratification occurs—colder air settles at the bottom, causing a 1–2°C difference between shelves. Continuous fan operation could resolve this. To improve accuracy, I drilled a small hole in the side and inserted a temperature probe connected to this external controller: https://amzn.to/3BdRi8G. This setup keeps temperatures within 0.2°C (0.5°F) and provides alarms for high or low limits. The trade-off is that the controller must be set to either heating or cooling mode and cannot switch between both automatically.

Happy and relieved!
This unit was very easy to set up. I was in a little bit of a panic while doing so, so that says a lot I think. I didn’t even realize that there was a light for inside when I first ordered it. I had a unplanned ball python pregnancy. We had gotten a baby, like only fed once, ball python for one of my sons around 12 years ago for a birthday present. Then my other son became very interested and wanted to try breeding. A couple years later we got two more, male and a female, the first one we believe went out a dryer vent in our home we had moved into, so we’ve only had the two for several years. And my son lost interest in the snakes and like all parents I ended up taking care of the snakes which is fine by me because I love them but there were no breeding plans. Just after Christmas I needed to detail clean one of the cages, so I put the two together for a few days… I suspected Annie could be pregnant because she wasn’t eating and was looking to be possibly gravid, but I had no clue. The morning I was to take her to the vet to get her checked out, I went to pick her up and there were the eggs. I had been looking into incubators online reading about how to make them and was planning to go to a reptile expo thinking I could buy one there or get some advice. Well, the vixen laid her eggs the day before the reptile expo! to make a long story short (haha), leaving the show (that had NO incubators for sale) they all had me convinced that I needed to move the eggs very quickly or let her sit on them. She’s not a very big snake and hadn’t eaten for at least two months so I didn’t think letting her sit on them would be a very good option for her or the eggs. I made an incubator out of a cooler in a sheer panic to save the poor babies. It was very hard to check on the temperature inside the container holding the eggs, without constantly opening up the cooler. Which of course messes with the temperature inside and I was convinced I was going to kill them or had already. Thus I ordered this incubator the next morning. It showed up on time. Like I said above it was very easy to set up I’m pretty sure the temperature control is awesome though I’ve only had it running for a couple days. The best part is it’s very easy to check on the temperature of the eggs within their little Tupperware box I need to use a flashlight but it’s awesome. I’ve candled them in the meantime, there are blood vessels so I don’t think I killed them. anyway this incubator I feel saved the day!! hopefully

Can I take the one star away?
This product did not last as it was needed or intended, I was in the middle of an incubation run, when I lost everything, it stopped producing heat and instead started pumping cold air, killing all of my eggs, these eggs are rare morph leopard geckos I breed pure black night morphs, by the way worth $3000 each, so far more than this machine is worth, I am so distressed because you couldn’t send me a product that actually lasts, I spent a lot of money on this because it was supposed to last a lot longer than the previous machine I got, but it didn’t even do that, how am I supposed to make a living breeding if I don’t even have a reliable machine that will hold the necessary temperature for life? I want a refund, I want a brand new device, but am I going to get it? I highly doubt it, who are these people to care? They just want your money, otherwise they’d give you a reliable product, where you didn’t have to worry if it was going to stop working while it’s supposed to support life, am I going to be compensated for the lives lost in my incubator when it decided to stop working? Probably not, the value of all the lives lost is $6000, thanks for being a waste of my time and money, because of your faulty product I’ve lost everything. Ahahaha I just found the same product online with a 3 year warranty?! Why wasn’t that offered to me? What a rip off waste of money, I spent how many hundred dollars to by this and here it is on sale @ the quick discounts.com and I can get 2 for $40 you guys screwed me, what a rip off

Great for ripening fruit in the wintertime.
Great for ripening fruit in the wintertime. What can I say, my house gets cool in the winter 65-70. This is a warm spot to ripen avocados and other tropical fruits, works like a charm.

Temp failure
Worked good for a year and 5 months. Found that I had to set the temp one degree higher to reach desired temp. All of a sudden it started beeping and was setting the temp on its own to be extremely to cold for my crested gecko eggs. At this point it's unusable after a year and a half.

Good unit but not so accurate temperature... and it's only centigrade.
The unit fluctuates on/off a bit more than I think it should but not so much that it is a nuisance. A bit more insulation might keep the temps more consistent. The unit is only in Centigrade which isn't too big of a deal but it's just not intuitive on what 27C means to us people in the U.S. Also the temp of the unit from top to bottom has a 3-4 degree shift! Quite huge in my thinking, so you need to be aware of this especially if you are doing anything that requires tight temperature control. I would suggest using a themometer to double check the top shelf and bottom shelf temps against the number on the unit. The advertising says a .5 degree/centigrade shift. Not accurate in our unit. The dealer was EXTREMELY helpful in getting the unit out as soon as possible. Five stars for the dealer in responding to our request to get it to us as quickly as possible. Overall the unit functions well. Just need to be aware of temperature difference from top to bottom shelf. We are enjoying the unit as is.
