Good coverage of an oval table once trimmed which was easy to do

Works well with tablecloth if you put plastic side down & flannel side up
The product photos show the flannel side down or where the flannel side is on the wood side of your table. If you do that, your tablecloth and the protective pad still slides around on the table. The plastic side needs to be on the tabletop and the flannel side up so that the plastic side kind of sticks to the table and your fabric tablecloth sticks to the thick fluffy flannel side. However, if something gets spilled on your tablecloth, it soaks through to the flannel side which in turn compels you to want to wash the protective cover. DO NOT WASH the table cover. This causes the flannel to separate from the plastic. The plastic comes out tightly crumpled and twisted barely attached to minimal parts of the flannel. I had to finish pulling the pieces apart to get that tangled mess of plastic off the flannel. The silver lining in that debacle is I now have an excellent piece of thick fluffy flannel to use for quilting. I would not buy this product again. What I did instead was I found a 5x7 foot thin nonslip rug (for cheaper than this table cover btw) and cut it down to size then put my tablecloth on top of that. It really pads the table better and it's really easy to clean!

Customizable, Good if you have toddlers
Pros Very thick, I have little picassos that are 2 and 3 years old and they have not torn this cloth in spite of their sometimes abrasive art work. Very easy to clean. Can be cut to fit easily. Cons Can't think of any in my case but for someone else that is looking for a formal look, the wrinkles may be a bit hard to get out. Very thick, so if you want it to hang over the sides a bit may need to be pinned down to shape the plastic. A centerpiece may be required to keep it from slipping if you have a finished wood table.

Easy to cut to size. The cover is smooth, not textured... just what I wanted.
I actually bought this table protector to work jigsaw puzzles on. I cut it to the exact size of the top of by wood table and now all the pieces show up on the white table cover
