Review: Makes an Old Clock New Again for a Bargain Price - I wanted to get an old clock running again, and so I studied the old clock movement and found this as a replacement. At the price, I was willing to take a chance. And it works perfectly. The biggest issue was making sure I got the right one. These are made to go through material of a certain thickness, so be sure to measure your clock--or the old movement--accurately and buy the one you need. Once you have it, it's a straightforward process to put this one in the clock. Just a couple of screws. It comes with instructions, but it's so intuitive, it hardly matters. I didn't use the included hands (second, minute, hour). The clock already had perfectly good ones. Placing the old hands on this movement worked just fine. It's not going to impress anyone. It's plastic, and it can be twisted out of position fairly easily. But it works, keeps time accurately, and makes the clock look just as it did before.

- Clock Hands Measurements: Total black spade hour and minute hand length is approx. 63.5 mm (2 1/2 inch), total red second hand length is approx. 69.9 mm (2 3/4 inch). The Q-80 movement will have a step motion that creates a ticking sound, powered by an AA battery.
