Light support & smoothing for 3x/4x pear/hourglass shapes
I wanted to post an initial review in case anyone like me has events this weekend and is considering buying this. TL; Dr: these shaper shorts are great if you're looking for light compression/support and some smoothing. As a tall plus size woman (5'11", 310lbs, 50-46-56, usually wear a 3x/4x), this item suits my needs to look a bit smoother under clingy dresses, prevent thigh chafing, and provide some abdominal compression for POTS symptoms relief. I have my highschool reunion this weekend and will be wearing a bodycon dress, so I wanted some shaper shorts that would smooth me out a bit without being uncomfortable. The mixed reviews on this item scared me a bit, but so far I'm glad I took a chance. I've been wearing them to work the past couple of days to test them out in case I needed to switch sizes or to another brand. These shaper shorts are surprisingly comfortable for having a decent amount of light-modedate compression. While I'm tall, I'm also quite short-waisted with a long hip/pelvis, and carry most of my weight in my stomach, butt, and upper thighs. The waistband comes all the way up to my bra line, but so far has not rolled down thanks to the fabric quality and small stays strategically placed. The legs are also a great length to not roll on my thick thighs - I'm easily able to adjust them higher or lower depending on the length of my skirt. The fabric is fairly breathable and soft, doesn't irritate my sensitive skin. Other than the very top of the waistband, I can't feel them on after a bit. I'm glad I went with the 4x instead of the 3x. My measurements were on the low end of the 4x, and I decided to opt for comfort over stronger compression. The shorts are quite stretchy, and I imagine someone several inches bigger than me could comfortably wear them. The shorts washed fine in a laundry bag on delicate cycle and didn't shrink too much. I can't speak to their long-term durability and performance, but I will update this review after my events with pictures and final thoughts. Overall, I definitely can recommend these to others looking for similar qualities in shaper shorts. I hope this review helps other tall plus size women as I know how hard it is to find comfortable, flattering clothing for us.

As promised, no regrets
Old school girdle or bicycle shorts should not be the only options for plus size women who wear dresses and now they are not. I was skeptical when I saw the ads for this brand and hesitated to give it a try, but I am glad I did. I reluctantly made my purchase and expected the worst. When I pulled the garment out of the package it looked small, less than half my width when I held it in front of me. I was sure it would not fit but it was here, and I decided to give it ago before requesting a return. I was so surprised! The material is lightweight and stretches to fit without looking like it is going to get a run or have a stretched look after wearing. It was easy to pull on with very little grunting and groaning, (if you know, you know). It was so lightweight and flexible I thought it couldn't possibly still feel fresh at the end of the day, but it was amazing. It is still warm weather, and I was not left sweating when my day finished. The material breaths nicely and that evening, after a 11.5-hour day, when I took these off there were almost no lines on my legs. I have occasional circulation problems, and this had no impact on my feet or legs. I do not sit all day so that may look different, but these are not tight or binding and they really do smooth a lot of the standard lines you get from wearing hosiery under your dress. I have since bought two more directly from the manufacturer and am very satisfied with the product. In summary: Easy to put on, breathable material, returns to the original shape after a long day of wear, no pulls or runs

Comfortable & Breathable
I have tried every girdle and spank ever made, and this one is the most comfortable by far. It is the only one that stays up and does not roll down when I sit. It’s breathable and not constricting. It doesn’t squeeze your legs too tight either. My only complaint is that I wish it was more snug around the lower belly. That area is not being held in by these undergarments. It sucks in your top, but not enough around the lower belly. I still recommend these as the best I’ve ever tried. I would still buy these again because they are really good quality and very comfortable. They arrived very early and I got them for a really good sale price.

Best shapewear ever!
This is the absolute best shapewear I've ever purchased! It's comfortable and doesn't bunch up. It stays in place all day and I honestly forgot I was wearing it. I wasn't sure it was going to fit when I took it out of the package, but I would say it runs true to size (I bought a 4x and I'm a size 24). It even washed up perfectly. I will be purchasing one in beige. Highly recommend!

Does their job for a fair price!
I am 5'3" and weigh 172 lbs, and I ordered the XL - XXL. I carry a little more weight in my tummy, so I needed a shapewear to pull the tummy in and shape my saggy thighs. I was very pleased with this product. It is truly high waisted and nearly goes up to my bra - which I liked. I bought this to wear over a knit dress, and these tummy control shorts did their job. Plus, this product, unlike another brand that "spanks you," comes on and off with relative ease when it's time to use the bathroom. (I'm 62 and can't undergo an athletic event just to use the bathroom.) I haven't washed them yet, so I can't comment on that as of yet.

Meh
These are nothing special. My other shapewear holds things in place better. I feel like these are just an added layer but no real compression or support. Definitely size down. However, these are breathable, so I’ll be able to wear them under dresses at school since I’m a substitute teacher and I never know when I’ll need to sit on the floor with kindergarteners. But I will not waste my money on this brand name again when my Walmart knock offs work better.

Holy Misery - Death Shapers!
Dear lord have mercy these are not for short folk. I thought surely my ribs would crack or I'd pass out from oxygen deprivation. Now before you say I must have purchased the wrong size, I purchased one of these in my size, another one size up because I don't trust anything I can't try on and my success at online shopping has been very hit or miss. The result was the same in either pair, so this is not about sizing. The first thing to know I am 5'4 and purchased these for a little shaping in the hips and stomach. I did not know I was also purchasing a torture device! As I rolled that first pair up over my thighs I thought, hmm firm, and up over the belly, really firm. I kept rolling, and rolling, and rolling. Where do these things end! Now I'm getting real close to some delicates that sit well enough above my stomach that they should not be impacted, special things I don't want flattened out. Wrong! So now I have two options I can cover my upper delicates and flatten those out too, hello 5'4 extra thick board! Or I can stop unrolling these things, fold them down a bit, because an extra bulky ridge anywhere is exactly what I was looking for......I chose to fold them down a bit because flat wide board wasn't the look I was going for. Let me tell you, I chose wrong. The fabric these are made from is strong and the waistband on these are very, very strong. Now that's three very strongs right there all rolled into one, directly under my ta-ta's, coiled around my body like a starved boa constrictor that just wanted me to die! Added to that, there's still all that really strong fabric I assume was intended to cover the stomach of a giantess crushing my ribcage.....I...could...not...breathe....world...spinning....lights dimming.....HEEEELP! Now before you say you should never fold them down; you are right and I know this. But these things are never ending. It's not trying to squeeze yourself into a pair of hosiery that's just too small, where you pull and stretch and suck it in the make them stretch up to your waist. Nooo, no no no, these things are not those things, these things are just designed for someone at least 7 ft tall with a stomach waist area the length of my entire upper body. Trust me I considered user error, rolled them off and back on again and just stopped that waistband right at my waist which was about as effective as well I don't even know because it was not effective at all, but it was bulky. Moving along to the next pair, I have no idea what I was thinking, because this pair was no better. I did everything in my power to not pull or stretch them in any way. Just thrust one chubby thigh in after the other and then pretended I was a weeble wobble. A little shake and shimmy, A wiggle, a weeble and a wobble and I'm in! I gently eased that fabric covered super strength boa constrictor waist into place just above my natural waist and definitely below my ladies on high. Now I'm still breathing but they felt very heavy in the stomach area, almost as if there was just too much fabric piled on my stomach and I could have pulled them much, much further up. I also immediately noticed my stomach was definitely being "shaped". It was a very weird feeling. I felt like I was sucking in my stomach but also had a pile of concrete blocks pushing my stomach further in well past any average "sucking in" . Suddenly I was standing very straight, like a soldier at attention. I could not relax my stance, I tried. As the web of murder continued to exert all the forces of the universe on my stomach, all the body mass had to go somewhere, and it went up! I am fairly certain one of my kidneys just popped right on up under my ribs. What was that pain pressing against my spine? Well, that was the rest of my internal organs all pressing back and up, against my spinal column and under my ribs. All this pressure and upward movement of body mass and organs was making it difficult to breathe; short breaths, short breaths......I couldn't stand at attention any longer, so as my organs continued to shift, I slowly sat down. Have you ever tried to sit while part of your body is wrapped in a body cast? Me neither until right then. Now I am sitting there, straight as a board, my stomach continuing to cave in, my refugee organs pressing further and further into the space previously occupied by my lungs making breathing more difficult by the second. This was not working out, I had to get out of this torture device, I needed to breathe! Seriously, I needed oxygen....to live. And so, with every intention of rolling the death shapers off my body, I stood up and that is all I remember. I woke up on the floor with my husband kneeling over me, scissors in hand, a fresh red welt clearly visible. Apparently, he was unable to work his stubby fingers under the boa constrictor waistband and did the next best thing; he cut that medieval death shaper from the thigh up. When the scissors finally chewed through the waistband, that angry snake band decided it was not going down without a fight, snapped back and gave the poor man a welt. Ladies, if you’re tall, into BDMS or torture, you might like these. If you want to test your pain tolerance or endurance, these are for you. If like me, you prefer the security of knowing all your internal organs are in their designated spaces, move along to the next product. If you are short, move along. Lastly if breathing is not relevant to you have at these, for the rest of you, if you like breathing as much as I do, just keep scrolling, these are not for you or me.
