Lysol Laundry Sanitizer has been a blessing for both my towels and my washing machine. I use it every time I wash towels, and it keeps everything smelling fresh and truly clean — not just masked with fragrance. I also use it on all laundry when someone in my household is sick. It gives me peace of mind knowing it’s helping kill germs, especially during cold and flu season. I have very sensitive skin when it comes to perfumes and soaps, so I usually add it during the prewash cycle as a personal preference. I haven’t experienced any skin irritation even when using it in the regular cycle, which says a lot. I highly recommend it for athletic wear, towels, or anything that tends to hold onto odors. It’s become a staple in my laundry routine.

I have been using this product in every wash, every time since it first came out. Was already a big fan of the product and very happy they now have a Free & Clear version. Here's why this product is amazing: Since it gets rid of the odor causing bacteria, you don't need to wash your clothing in hot water - it kills the bacteria no matter what. If you're like me and forget to change out the laundry, you will not get that funky smell/have to rewash your wash. It's good for at least 12 hours IMO. If you're using a shared machine, well, who wants someone else's funk on their laundry. It truly gets the smell out of dirty socks and work out clothing...and dog beds. And if someone is sick in the house, I know this will make sure to kill those germs. A little goes a long way. Like detergents, you don't need a full capful to do the job. Last but not least, I prefer unscented (although I never found the scented product to be overwhelming. The only drawback, and it's not a drawback for me, is that this goes in the compartment where the fabric softener would go. So you can't use both. Do not put it in the same cycle as the detergent.

All my laundry turns out super clean. No worries about messing up clothes or bedding, and towels ..no bleach, but sanitizes.

I sanitize the jackets that I wear to the airport/hospital/school, and my robe and towels occasionally. This does not have a harsh smell, and leaves my clothes feeling fresh and clean. I do not have a washer where I can stop it and add it to the rinse cycle as the instructions say, so instead I let my clothes wash, then put them through another rinse cycle where I add this. It feels like a good value, especially for peace of mind when I have to go places that are extremely germ-ridden.

This works really well as a laundry sanitizer. I like using it for my sweaty gym clothes and my towels when I want them to feel extra clean. It’s nice that this version is free and clear, so there’s no strong fragrance left behind, and it’s actually clear so I haven’t noticed any staining for color fading on my clothes… The bottle size is good and lasts a while, which makes it a good value for money. Mine also arrived with no bottle leakage, which I appreciated. Overall it’s a simple product that works great if you want an extra level of clean in your laundry.

This Lysol Laundry Sanitizer is honestly a must-have in my house. I use it regularly and keep repurchasing because it gives me that extra peace of mind, especially for towels, workout clothes, and bedding. The Free & Clear formula is gentle, no strong scent, and works great. Definitely an essential in my laundry routine. But I have to talk about the shipping… I ordered 5 bottles. Four of them were tossed into a very thin plastic mailer with zero protection, and the other one came in a paper mailer. Guess what? The only survivor was the one in the paper bag. The other four leaked everywhere. It was like opening a mini laundry disaster before even doing laundry. 😅 Love the product, truly. Just really disappointed with the packaging and shipping care. Please protect these bottles better!

Nice smell. Laundry does not mold in washer.

I suffer from an odour in my oil glands on my scalp, shoulders, and back of my neck. It's an old man smell that some of you may identify with. The odour gets into clothing, hats, pillows and pillow cases, hoodies, etc.. Nothing worked to get that odour out until I tried this Lysol product. This product neutralized the odour completely and returned my items to brand new as far as smell was concerned. This product is free and clear of perfumes and any fragrances. There is a very slight chemical smell to the product. If you use a little too much the chemical smell is present when taken out of the washer, but a lot of that smell evaporates in the dryer, but a bit gets left over when the clothes come out of the dryer- I used two caps for a not very full load of clothing, should have used 11/2 caps or 1 cap instead. Other than that, the product is amazing, you'll really be pleased.
