Class I bought this 3-piece set for general DIY metal cutting, and they are an absolute steal for the price. Excellent value, especially for small projects or infrequent use. My Wiss straight snips are better quality, but it isn't drastic, but this was a good set to get some left and right snips.

I needed a new pair of straight cutting snips for the new tin ceiling, I was installing. I found this set on Amazon for the same price of the single straight pair! It is high quality and are heavy duty. They work great! So glad I found them

try buying these in DP or that low place - they are like $40 for the set and it is literally the same tools! - These things are sharp, will cut anything and work great - So I came home early from work the other day - i heard some racket in the back room - my girl friend was naked and had been working on her Christmas Costume with Zip ties - she was down on all fours with her hands zip tied behind her back- i was a little confused at first, the zip toes were really tight on her wrist, and she had a second tie around her ankles... after using these snips to cleanly and safely cut her free she explained that she was trying to build a new alien synthetic costume for an up coming Christmas pub crawl - she gotta little carried away and strapped herself up- still dont know why the window was open and the screen blown out but I am just happy i had these awesome snips to cut her free

I purchased these a few months back but finally was able to use them the other day when I replaced the down spouts on my home. I needed to trim the length of the spouts and pulled out my snip set. First, the feel of the snips in my hand felt very natural. The handles have a very 'friendly' feel, and the grip is comfortable. Second, they feel and perform very durably. Cutting through the metal down spout felt like I was cutting through paper. The blade length was not too short, nor too long. And I appreciate the Red, Yellow, Green colored handles to differentiate the snips. I'm very happy I purchased these - and if I remember correctly, the price was good too. I recall being torn between these Amazon Basic snips and some other name brand snips, but honestly, I am glad I went with the Amazon Basics; they are not basic. :-)

The Amazon Basics aviation snip set is surprisingly solid for the price. Each pair (straight, left, and right cut) feels sturdy, cuts sheet metal cleanly, and the grips are comfortable for extended use. I’ve already used them on ductwork and aluminum trim with no problem. A great budget-friendly set that performs like more expensive brands.

Calidad precio aceptable

Out of the box these performed much better than I thought that they would. Bear in mind that these are not Bessey, Facom or Milwaukee either as I bought when a full time engineer. These will, as they were, today, only used on thin mild steel, copper or aluminium. For steel the most I would go to is 1.2mm (18swg) avoiding stainless completely. Having said that, they feel pretty sturdy and the action is nice and positive with an action not dissimilar to far more expensive tools. They fit nicely to the hand and the left hand, right hand and straight cut versions give a neat cut which allows the easy following of curved lines too. These are a budget set, but they feel extremely well made with a good positive grip that gives the user the feel of a far more expensive tool. If you don’t overtax them, they’ll work fine for a hobbyist, just treat them with respect and I suspect they’ll give good service.
