Easy to use.
The small size is great. Has a strong magnet which it makes it easy to attach to the golf cart. I like knowing the 3 distances for the green (front, middle, back). I purchased separately a zipper case for it.

Works so much better than my "shaky" range finder.
I'm a 69 yr. old avid golfer. Wanted to get more accuracy with the distances I had to hit, so I spent $349 on a laser range finder a couple years ago. This thing had the slope reader, everything! But what they don't tell you when you buy one....you better have a pretty steady hand when using it, or at least be able to brace yourself against something when you use it! Otherwise the "cross-hairs" bounce around like a jack rabbit! Was more frustrating than anything else. Great brand name - lousy performance! So I bought the Swami 6000 by IZZO. Imagine that - technology that does what it says it will, for UNDER $100.00! Easy to use, with 40,000 courses in their library, and it's magnetic so it sits right on the frame of my golf cart. When I get to my ball it tells me the distance to the green front - middle - and back! That's all I wanted it to do. Sure I could keep my score on it, and I could ever find out the "hazards" on each hole, but I'm playing courses I've played dozens of times before, all I need is "how far to get home?" Keep it up IZZO!!

Great GPS for the price.
I bought this as a replacement for my Garmin Approach G8 which I have had since it came out but the screen died and needed something new. The Swami 6000 is a great product and if I had never owed the G8 I would not have ever switched from this. The only thing I now miss is the hole maps from the G8. I play new courses all the time and the hole and green maps were something I will miss a lot. That being said, the things I like even more about the Swami 6000 are the magnetic back which makes connecting it to the cart so simple. Also the screen is very easy to read, bright and no clutter to get in the way. I tested yardages with me sons laser and found the closer I got to the whole the more accurate it is with only about a yard or two difference when looking at a center pin locations. With all that the only thing I found I do not like is the automatic hole switching. I had hit a drive a bit left and found myself in another fairway and it switched from hole 7 to hole 16. Even after selecting the right hole it updated again and never could get a good number.

Bad customer service
I bought my husband this four years ago for Christmas. He has enjoyed it but last week it quit working. We realized that it is out of warranty but he contacted Izzo to see if it just needed a reboot to get it going. The lady gave him instructions which he followed but it didn't work so he contacted them again. She asked for specific info and he gave it to her. No complaining, no nastiness, just asking for help realizing there may not be a solution due to the four year thing. He only plays once a week so it hasn't been over used. After giving the info, no response. Nothing Now we have been blocked from their site. They apparently blocked our IP address. So he has no way to get on and access the help they were offering or even contact them. Very disappointing customer service. Again he was polite...no reason to block us. Just explain that it is out of warranty and there's nothing more they can do. We may have to buy a new GPS for him, but it certainly won't be an Izzo.

Works Great. Easy To See.
The Izzo Swami 6000 works great. It's bright color display has large numbers and is very easy to read, even from yards away or when sitting in the golf cart on the other side. It is accurate and works seamlessly, advancing from hole to hole automatically. It also acquires the course very quickly after you initially turn it on. With the touch of one button you can switch screens and get the distance to, and the distance to go over, hazards on the hole. The battery life is superb and it has a battery life indicator. The magnet on the back holds onto the cart well. The Swami 6000 is small enough and light enough to put into your pocket if you have to walk up to a tee box or if weather conditions dictate "cart path only". As far as I'm conerned this is the perfect little golf GPS. Prior to purchasing the Swami I had the current "version 2" of the leading manufacturer's Golf GPS. It worked fine, but was often difficult to read, especially in bright sunlight. (It has a grey and black screen, not bright color like the Swami.) After purchasing the Swami 6000 I used both of them for a few rounds to compare the distances. They were always within one or two yards of each other. I have since given the other brand's golf GPS away.

Received earlier than the promised date, looks solid and good quality. Haven't used but I think it won't disappoint me.

The first unit I received did not work. From that experience I learnt the following: #1. Amazon’s return policy is simple/easy to follow and worked seamlessly…..full marks. #2. Izzy Support was extremely professional, and although they were unable to repair the unit, they were great to work with…..full marks. The replacement unit was received in record time. The replacement unit is working well. It is simple to use and I enjoy the magnetic function that allows the operator to mount the gps unit where it is easy to view. I did hear about users who left the unit on the cart when leaving in a hurry. I have addressed this concern by using a storage case. I use an old eye glass case, that I put in the cart, with the belief that I will see the empty case and remember to grab the gps unit. We will see. I have found that the batteries last two full rounds before recharging.
