Works great, watch for the kick-back!
We are ripping out an old tongue and groove floor and needed a saw to fit right against the walls. This did the job, we replaced the blades often since they would smoke on the hard wood quickly, but be careful of the kick back if you hit the blade on the floor accidentally, it is hard to control!

Disposable saw
It was relatively cheap and since I only needed it for one job, I didn't want to spend $500 for a good saw. I should have spent the $500.The arbor adaptor plate on this one fails after less than 100 linier feet of cutting and the Chinese pot metal retaining screw strips out when you attempt to remove it. Harbor Freight doesn't carry any replacement parts at all for this saw, so if the adaptor or anything else fails, the saw is completely disposable. I was using it to remove subfloor and managed to cut 48' pretty smoothly, but the blade began slipping on the arbor plate when the pins sheered off and the saw became completely unusable after less than 100' of cutting. It cost about $1.20 per foot of cutting and then it was in the garbage. If you have more than 100' to cut, I'd recommend a better saw - which won't be hard to find, but will likely cost more money.

Nice Product
This tool did exactly what I needed it to do. I just wish it would of gotten into the corners a bit better. Inside corners still need to be cut with a different tool but this made short work of the straight and outside corner cuts.. I would recommend either placing something on the toe-kick to protect it or removing the facing board if possible and I did damage some of mine. Also, take precautions as this will walk back at you if you let it.

The saw was used
I didn't see anything in the write up on the product saying it was used. I was expecting a brand new product. I could have bought it for cheaper if I wanted a used one. It isn't very professional to send a item with the saw dust in the box and it not cleaned up. Wasn't happy at all.

Good tool. Prices vary.
A great tool for the once and a while user, which will cover most of us, even those doing construction full time. How often do you really need to cut subfloor plywood right next to the wall??? If it is every day, then you might think about an upgrade. This product comes under many names: Ironton, (new version) Chicago Pneumatic (old version with no rubber on handle, and smaller vents) (both Northern), Chicago Electric (Harbor), Etc.It is a 1hp, 6.8 Amp, 4500 RPM version that comes with extra brushes, and an allen wrench for the blade. These EXACT saws range from $70.00 to $130.00, so it is up to you.............The best blade cost is (at this moment; 01/13/16), from Northern. The saw runs true and hard, and will probably still be running hard when passed on to the next user.
