Have used this product for years and think it makes my hair look like it has been colored in a salon. Easy to use and love the results.

I use this every month to color and highlight my hair. I love the ease of use. Instructions are easy to follow. My hair color looks great and to be able to do it myself at a fraction of the cost of a beauty parlor is a great value for sure.

This is great color with basic instructions. Gray coverage isn’t too bad, but it’s not perfect. That said, this color and highlight combination blends well with grays —so grow out or missed strands are easy to live with until your next touch up/color. (I’m working with fine hair that’s naturally dark blonde to light brown with grays coming in.) If you need to cover grays, be diligent about sectioning, getting over and underneath strands, use ALL of the color to saturate the area that you want to cover —and let it do its thing for the recommended, extended gray-coverage time starting the time when you finish applying the color mixture. I would prefer that the kit included better-fitting gloves instead of the flat one-size-fits-most plastic gloves as they’re slippery and pretty large. It can be challenging to handle hair/product/sectioning clips/fingertip color-applicator, etc with the included gloves on. It would also help if it came with a little hair painting brush for more control applying the highlights. The color itself is beautiful and looks natural! I typically spent $300+ on salon touch-up color and balayage every 12-weeks, and I’m getting very near the same visual results (definitely harder on my hair tho’!) in the mirror after watching many tutorials and learning how to apply the product. I go hard on the quality daily conditioner and extra easy on the heat tools/dryer for the first week or two post color. (Monday Moisture Shampoo/Conditioner + a UV heat protection leave-in are good support for my hair type personally. Definitely seems to extend the life and lustre of this color!) Overall, recommend! This is a great deal and I get a lot of compliments on my hair using this kit. I have been using this product for years now and it took awhile to find one that looked like salon color. L’Oreal and Kérastase being in the same brand-house may have something to do with this. Very nice substitute when you can't go to your salon. I've colored my medium brown hair for so long that I wasn't sure just how much grey would be revealed as this pandemic unfolded. Ususally pay $180-$200 to get highlights and low lights without using any overall cover to mask grey or natural color because it blends with my blond coloring. So I chose the coconut color as the best match for me but ONLY USED the highlighter and not the base color. So I started from step 2. Tips for gals who dare to try...and it is definitely an excellent alernative (although as a full on color-junkie, not the same, but more than good enough and ain't that what it's all about. Use your own gloves now that you probably have them, they will be less slippery. highlight formula yields very little to use so be prepared if you only have one kit as you will need to zero in on exactly what streaks are your priority. I have just below shoulder length hair and if and when I do this again I will need two kits to get the whole head 360 degrees and underneath for up dos. Use a brush and a paddle if you have one instead of their equipment. Weave in and out in a section of hair and seperate those pieces our and lay on a plastic paddle (no foil). Brush on the highlight formula and then gently remove the paddle. I left it on for about 15 minutes total. The overall color of the highlights is very pretty and matches nicely with what I had. It's a bit too light in the first area but it was my fault bc I hadn't gotten the hang yet and I smushed it up a bit too much. You don't even notice it when my hair is done and especially not curly. If it bothers me in a few days I may use the base color to go back into that spot and add one or two low lights. Overall, if you are a color junkie too and need a fix bad, this kits will do the trick nicely with good results. Consider quantity based on your hairstyle and consider trying a baliage technique rather than using the tools they use. A cap with punch holes purchased separately would work too. Go for it!

My money is tight so having my hair lightened and highlighted at a professional salon, is just not in the budget but I wanted a more fun color for summer, so bought this boxed color and highlight kit. It was very easy to use (though I found the instructions hard to read because I have glaucoma and the print is very small) It went on easy, no horrible fumes, and in the time it would have taken me to get it done at a salon, I had done it myself in my own bathroom. I am showing before and after photos, so you can judge how it will turn out on your hair color. Photos have not been color retouched. I just blurred out the background in the afters.

I have been using this product for years until they no longer became available in my local stores. Thank you amazon for making them available all of the time. I can't say enough about this product, it is so great it's almost fool proof. Simple directions that are easy to follow, very easy to apply, no strong odors, and the results are amazing. If I had to find any fault with this product it would be not enough color options. The dark blonde is almost too light for me (personal opinion) but the light brown is too dark. But that being said there are ways to get around that. :-). I have tried many different products but after many hair coloring mistakes I will not use anything else but L'Oreal Paris Couleur Experte. If you looking for a product that will give you a natural looking hair color with added highlights this product is for you.

I have been buying this brand for years. Love that it has hair color and hi lites included. Doesn't take long to do both processes. Color lasts for months. Never get burning or irritation. I have asthma and I don't have problems as I do with the strong smell with other hair colors. Highly recommand. Good price. Wish they had more color choices.

I really like this product have been using since the pandemic began. I only wish the cost was a bit less since I am purchasing every month so let me know if you sell a few at a better price grouped together would be ideal!

I love this particular colour and have my niece bring me some from the US I love it and very easy to use. The colours are quite usually ( much cheaper..even with the exchange) You can buy other colours here but have yet to find it in (NS) or Toronto so ordering from Amazon !
