correct fit for small block but not used on a 454

I have a 91 C1500 Chevy Silverado with the 5.7L V8 and Amazon says this won't fit. Don't believe them. It does fit, and it's the only one that isn't that paper garbage that was put in from the factory. This is a genuine upgrade to the original and fits perfectly. It is a metal core rubber lined gasket. This will not harden or fall apart like the paper ones. I had 288k on my engine and the original gasket had gone rock hard and was falling apart and pieces of it were in the oil pick up screen. When doing all the bottom end work on the engine, I got the Feltpro gasket kit and it had a paper gasket. But after having it all back together, I knew it would be an issue and kept looking for a good kit. After lots of digging, and all the Chevy sites saying this was the correct fit for the 5.7L I pulled it back apart and put this one in. I know now that this will never be an issue. Very much worth the money. Install isn't hard, but if you haven't changed out your plastic oil line clips, you need to get those replaced as they get very brittle and will break on you.

The kit worked well other than I did not need the o-ring as I was eliminating the oil cooler adaptor.
