We absolutely love this convertible crib! It’s not only stylish and well-designed but incredibly functional. The setup was simple, and the quality is top-notch – sturdy, with smooth edges and a beautiful finish that matches our nursery perfectly. What truly makes this crib stand out is its versatility. As our baby grows, we can easily convert it from a crib to a toddler bed, and eventually into a full-size bed. This means we won’t need to buy multiple pieces of furniture as our child gets older – a huge money-saver in the long run! We have purchased this for 2 children now and love it!!

This product came in a 70 or so pound package from my UPS guy. I had to go outside and help him as it is a two man lift box, though not overly heavy, just large and awkward. The product is well insulated however, and despite some dings on the package, the wood was unharmed. The product pieces were all there, and the instructions were simple to understand. The wood is beautiful and of good quality, and everything is assembled by pressure via barrel locks instead of your cheap ass cam locks that normally come with assembled furniture. As a result, the several boneheaded mistakes that I made (make sure on the sides of the headboard the spring holes are facing inwards.... doh) were easy to fix. It can also be disassembled for moving or to move it downstairs, which I will eventually do, without losing intactness or structure. Just make sure you don't overtighten anything, it is a study product without doing so and you will decrease your usability or damage the wood. The mattress spring is pretty low even at it's highest position, and has several more rungs down to go before it outlives it's usefulness. Even then, it can be converted into a toddler bed or a headboard and foot board with some additional parts. It is rather large and safe looking and looks great in our bedroom. It will be bittersweet to move our son from his bassinet to this crib but at least I can do it with confidence.

Was looking for a crib/bed for the new addition to the family and not trying to break the bank while doing it. I mean unless you have multiple kids the use you get out of just a crib is about 2 to 3 years top and the kiddo needs a bed. So looked around at babies r us and buy buy baby and OMG the price they have for theirs is ridiculous!! Thats when I turned to the internet and came across this one. I am prime member so in two days had it delivered. Was pretty simple to put together. I used my 12 V drill to speed things up along with a flat head screwdriver. The instructions say not to use a drill but as long as you have it on a low tight setting you will be fine. The only headache was the bolts. The bolts are different sizes and I kept using the wrong bolts for the wrong holes so, I would have to take a part and put the right bolts to the right holes. Of course not the products fault for me not paying attention, but I don't know why there are different sizes one size would be just fine for all of them, but I digress. So, about an 1 1/2 hours of assembly time. Probably would have shaved off 20 minutes if not the for bolt mix up. I am very pleased with finished product. Looks as good if not better than the department store cirbs. Seems sturdy and ready for the challenge of a bouncing baby boy! I will write again in a few months after the baby gets here and tests it out. Hope this helps.... *Update* 2/27/2015 Hey guys it has been 6 months since the purchase and everything is still going well. The only thing that I can complain about is that my son gets his feet and legs hung in between the spokes of the side rails. This is of course something that can't really be avoided if you don't have some bumpers or something. And it usually only happens when he is playing and rolling around not when he sleeps. I debated purchasing this crib vs a more expensive one, but have been very pleased with this one. It arrived within 10 days and was not damaged. My husband and father-in-law were able to put this together in about an hour. It is a solid crib and looks great (bright white color as described), especially when compared to the more expensive cribs I saw in Babies R Us and Buy Buy Baby. The quality is better and the crib is sturdier than those AND costs $100-$300 less. I had a c-section and have been able to put the baby in and lift her out without any problems when the matress is on the highest setting. My 2 month old has been sleeping in it periodically since she was born and enjoys it. I bought the Sealy Soybean Foam-Core Crib Mattress which is a perfect fit and bought the South Shore Furniture, Peak-a-Boo Collection, Changing Table with Drawers--everything looks great together. I haven't had any paint chipping or nicks on the crib as yet and I took my fingernail and tried to dent the crib without success. But when my baby starts teething, I will investigate a teething rail. Also, I do see a potential problem with my baby's hands or legs getting stuck between the slats (even though they are the legal distance apart), so I will get a breathable bumper in the near future. For the price it is a great buy, but those two foreseeable issues is what causes me to give it only 4 stars.

Very pleased with this crib! We got it for our little one and the height is perfect and looks high quality. People complement our crib when they see it and are shocked when we say we for it off Amazon. Unfortunately our little kiddo did wear down the stain with biting the edges of the crib but that’s kinda inevitable if you have a teething little one. We are planning on getting potentially another crib for our next kiddo since this one converts to a toddler bed and can grow with your child.

We purchased this crib in 2010 for the birth of our second son. We already had the same crib for our oldest son and it had lasted almost 2 years so we were confident in our purchase. Now, 4 1/2 years after we purchased our first DaVinci Kalani crib, our 2 year old is still using his and it has held up beautifully to his playing, jumping and climbing. The one we bought over 4 years ago is now being used by our 1 year old son and is in amazing shape considering it's been used nearly nonstop since 2008. There are dings and scratches due to the soft wood, but at this price range it's expected and easily repaired. And none are distinct enough unless you really pay attention to the details. We didn't have any issues with assembly, although the directions were missing. We found them online at the manufacturers website so it wasn't a concern. In fact, both cribs were assembled by me, while in my 3rd trimester. The only issue we have had is the bolts that hold the mattress support tend to wear after repetitive use. We replaced them after a quick trip to the hardware store (as easy as bringing one in and saying "I need 4 of these") and that was after 2 years of use. I would definitely recommend this crib to new parents. It has a beautiful, classy look, is easy to assemble, and will give you your money's worth. We have 3 wild, busy boys and both of our Kalani's are investments that lasted far longer than we anticipated. Congratulations to all in the market to buy!

Update: Our son is now 3.5 years old and this crib is STILL holding up strong. We have yet to convert him to the toddler bed since he's always slept so well and has ZERO interest in getting out of crib. The crib is very large and VERY well constructed. He has jumped up and down in it and it STILL holds strong. We have it on the lowest level setting and he is above average height and weight. No issues. I'm sure within the next few months or before he turns 4 years old we'll convert to the toddler bed. Does the crib have a few scratches? Sure. I would think any wood product with stain would acquire scratches from every day life and when your child goes through a chewing phase. For us, that is a minor issue. The main thing about this crib is the easiness of putting together and the overall sturdiness. Its a great product for a great price. The baby stores out there are OVER PRICED!!!! Original Review BEFORE son arrived: The crib is fairly easy to put together.....the directions are not that great, but its pretty painless. The quality is beautiful and overall feels VERY sturdy and solid. We can't wait until our little one is able to enjoy the crib....for years to come!!! Also, no dings or scratches on wood. We have had the crib for 10 months now since our baby was born and it is amazing. I love it. We got it in Cherry. Not only does it look amazing and expensive in the room, but it is highly functional. Once in a while it gets a tiny scratch, but nothing close to what people said with their crib and our baby chews and chews at the bars. One thing I love about the crib--there are four levels for the mattress height, 1 more than most cribs. This means that you can set the mattress lower than other cribs-- thank goodness for that since I have a climbing baby. I can't say enough good things about this crib. We got the Emily changing table as well and LOVE it as well. The two look like a set. The changing table is sturdy and amazing. We love both. We got the Emily mattress as well. That is the only thing I didn't like. Its okay and the baby sleeps well on it, but I think it is sort of flimsy. But I LOVE LOVE LOVE the crib and highly recommend it. Just today, 10 months later, I was thinking this is the best purchase I have ever made. And for the price, it can't be any better. The company seems fine as well. We had problems with the changing table when it arrived. We could only correspond with Davinci thru the computer, but they sent the part that needed to be replaced in a timely manner.
