So there is a learning curve to using this and it is tiny for people with big hands.But that said,a little practice and some patience,it will tie a perfect haywire and i recommend the youtube videos.

I wanted this to work so bad I ignored the reviews. The manufacture's video must have been done by a skilled magician. The retaining pin is so short the wire does not stay in place and pops off the end. The loops I was finally able to make were oblong and ugly. The knurled end piece is very hard to turn and requires a pliers. I'll stick to my looping pliers. Much faster and better looking loops. The real shame is the size. If it were the size the advertised pictures lead you to imagine, the could be an awesome invention. Mine will be going back.

Use to make them by hand but this small tool aids in speed and perfection when creating eyes or little gizmos for fishing. Was even able to go smaller size wire than advertised. Watch the video….

It’s made solid and once you figure out how to use it it’s fairly easy.

I bought this thinking I would wrap eyelets on my lures. Well, it probably works to form the eyelet and probably wraps if you have room to work and a long tail, but I find the stingy nub on the other end to do the wrap is too short for the job. And if I'm making a small lure with a bend in the body for another hook, the bend prevents the tool from making a wrap. it will make the eyelet, but not do the wrap. And like others say, it's too small to get any leverage.

This is a super cool item that every saltwater fisherman should have in their stock. Make your own steel leaders in a couple minutes. It’s a little tricky to figure out at the start, but once you get a hang of it, it’s nice and easy. If you enjoy rigging up before you go out fishing, it’s a great item!

This tool seems like it could work, but they've made it too small. The posts you have to bend the wire around are just barely taller than 0.032" wire is thick. This means that when you try to bend the wire around it, it wants to slip off and can do so very easily. Likewise when you go to lock the wire into the tool, it barely twists enough to lock. As you try and twist the loop it'll likely open up the tool and your wire will pop out. Both of these design flaws would be easy for the manufacturer to fix. Just make the posts a little taller and notch the bottom so the wire stays in when you bend the loop. Also machine the hole for the stop post on the turn to allow the inner cylinder to turn 45-90 degrees instead of like 4 degrees. But as it is, the device is too annoying to bother to use. Would rather just use pliers.
