So much inside for the cost. Good quality item, my son loved this!
Bit late but I thought I’d write my review of this product I got my 9 year old son for Christmas last year. When he opened this present he was very happy to say the least and I was surprised at how much you get inside the box and he now displays them in his bedroom and wants even more boxes of these but the bigger ones now, maybe a birthday idea in mind. Great price and product, one happy boy, thank you.

A fun treasure box for little explorers
This kit is a small adventure packed in a box, perfect for my 7 year old godson who already considers himself a professional strange rock hunter. The variety of minerals and crystals is genuinely exciting, and the whole presentation invites curiosity. I didn’t go for the full 5 stars because I expected more large specimens. There are a few impressive ones, but most rocks are on the smaller side, which leaves you wishing for just a bit more wow factor. Still, it’s a charming and engaging kit. Kids will love the digging, the discovering and the little surprises hidden inside. I definitely recommend it, especially for young explorers with big imaginations.

Nice idea...could be better
This was an item I had had on my wish list for about half a year. The price had always hovered around the £35 - 40 mark. I refused to pay this price because it sells much cheaper in the US. And I'm tired of always overpaying for things in the UK. Took a sudden dive to £25. So snapped it up. I liked the concept and still do. I purchased it for my four year old niece. Young kids are always picking things up that look colourful or unusual. And this is an opportunity to teach them more about the outside physical world. Especially on a nature trail or stony beach. The criticism I have really is the limited size of the kit. It seems smaller in scale than in the pictures. Which is my fault. I should have checked out an unboxing on You Tube. It's meant for kids and is certainly kid sized. The presentation plastic cube kind of dwarfed the small fossil and sharks tooth inside. And the magnifying glass was small and also cheap looking. Although not an issue as I picked up a large durable one for my niece a year or so ago. On the plus side the chart and slender booklet inside were useful. And the rocks, which are more like polished pebbles, are interesting even for adults. A four year old just fits the minimum age reccommendation. And I wouldn't go younger as the pieces are small and would certainly be hazardous if ingested. Overall, I would recommend at £25, no more. Had it had a better magnifying glass I would probably have bumped it up to four stars.
