One of the weakest Pokemon game ever
Pros: - The graphics look genuinely good. - The wild area concept is pretty fun and you cannot catch higher-level Pokemon unless you get badges. So very balanced. - The concept of Dynamax is kind of okay but it's a pain to catch Gigantamax. Takes a lot of effort. Cons: - The story is very meh. - Only 2 legendaries in the base game. Come on Gamefreak. - I don't see a lot of replay value. I will probably never play again. Overall 6.5/10.

I might be in the minority here, but I love this game! Pokemon Shield is definitely great fun, and the story is easily the most well written Pokémon game since the Black and White series (sorry to X/Y and S/M/US/UM, but y'all were not that thought out. Still enjoyed you though!). I don't think it's the BEST Pokémon game (thats either Platinum or B/W) but it's definitely more good than bad. I won't write a pros and cons list because it's a game, but if you're someone like me, who gets invested in the game's story, then you can go for this game with your eyes closed. I don't like Swordward and Shieldbert though. Ugh. Annoying characters.
