Does this mouse have a silent click?

It's audible but not obnoxious.

Has anyone had double clicking issues with this mouse yet?

The one I got from Alienware yes. Right out of the box. The Amazon one has been perfect. Same mouse, but you'll find returning to Amazon much easier than returning to Alienware. Alienware wants to drag you through days of customer support and have you do a bunch of stuff that doesn't help.

Are the button settings stored on the mouse? Or do you have to have the software running for them to work?

You can set the DPI settings on the mouse, but highly recommend that you go to the Alienware command Center and re-calibrate the LOD (Distance to the mouse pad).

How do you install the Command Center? This software is so terrible it wont install no matter what
