This is probably the best RPi WiFi adapter I have ever used!
Long story short: I had my RPi zero w in storage for a while and last week, I pulled it out for a project. WiFi driver wasn't supported/just didn't work, so I bought an adapter from a generic brand which did not work at all, even with my computer. I then purchased this one, and it worked right out of the box! No configuring, just plug-and-play! My only complaint would be that the status LED is too bright, but that's an easy fix with a small patch of opaque tape. Highly recommend!

Surprisingly Supported
I purchased this dongle for a first generation raspberry pi running rasbian. My intention was to turn it into an octoprint server for 3D printing, but my wifi router is on the other end of the house. I figured I would have to download something to make it work, but even with a very very old install of raspbian it worked practically out of the box! I believe the dongle even came with instructions, but by just using the GUI interface, i was able to configure it. Even shortly after I started installing octoprint and having the installation destroy my raspbian install (!!!), I was able to get the dongle configured on a newly flashed Octoprint SD card with a little more effort. I'd say it's worth it, although now I need to buy a USB hub or something.

CANA WiFi Dongle
The CANA WiFi dongle is specifically made for use with Raspberry Pi computers and unlike several others I have tried, this one worked right out of the box. I had tried another more expensive brand, but it simply would not work. It turned out that one would only work with Windows machines. This one has been working flawlessly since I put it in service running on an Amateur Radio hotspot that connects radio signals to services on the Internet.

Generally, works well.
The reason I'm not giving this product 5*s is because on my Samsung Chromebook I can no longer turn on Bluetooth. Not a deal-breaker though I'd like to be able to connect my phone to my Chromebook.

Does not support 5G
Used with Raspberry Pi 4B and Raspberry Pi 5 Pros: 1) Absolutely works straight out of the box without any need to configure anything! Plug and Play! 2) When you right-click on the wireless icon in the top right margin of the screen, it shows both the Broadcom Wi-Fi and the Ralink RT5370 links so that you know for sure that the CanaKit Raspberry Pi WiFi Wireless Adapter has been detected and is in use. Cons: 1) Does not support 5G. I am not taking a star off for this since if you look it shows only 2.4G and doesn't mention 5.0G, in other words, I should have checked and I didn't. I'm disappointed, but it's my own fault. 2) It's pretty expensive, and I would not have bought it if I had realized it did not support 5G. I did not rate it on Value for Money, because I don't think it would be fair, but if I did I would probably give it one star.

Works with Linux
I have Linux Mint 20 and I just plugged this in and it worked, no configuration needed. It seems to get better reception than my old usb wifi device, so that's good also. Only downside is that it came in a comically huge box, I was wondering why they couldn't leave it in my p.o. box and it's because the inch long dongle came in a (roughly) 2 inch on a side box which came in a (roughly) foot by 1.5 foot by 8 inch box along with a sheet of paper to reduce the banging around.

Octoprint Pi 3B+ goes wireless
Used with my Pi 3B+ with Octoprint running to control my 3D printer, and why not be wireless right? Went to Octoprint website for how to configure a couple of files and was for my use up and running in no time. Works solid and can manage and monitor my 3D print jobs via a web page while seeing on a connected web camera. Awesome stuff! And for $9.99 a no brainer!

It works, but slow to connect and limited speed
I know its a BGN wifi dongle, that by itself is fine. However, it takes a long time to wake up after sleep, it takes a long time to connect to an active network and it seems to have a weaker signal strength. I have line of sight to the AP and its perhaps 30-40 feet away but the signal strength is 3 of 5 bars. and has all the aforementioned issues It worked straight away with no drivers needed. I am using an immutable OS so a dongle that requires drivers was not an option. It works, but will probably look for another solution

Plug in - see wireless networks. Connect. Unplug, connection lost. Plug back in, reconnects automatically. If this is not plug and play - I don't know what is! Did not have to tinker with any drivers or recompile anything.

Bought it for a Raspberry Pi 2, which doesn't include wifi. Worked first time, right out of the box, with no drivers to load.

I used the wifi dongle for my retropie, plug and play, only took 10 seconds to set everything up. The dongle is small enough to fit inside of a mini-nes case. Didn't get a chance to test throughput / distance, but this dongle was only needed so that I can transfer small files from my network to my pi and the system is located only a few feet from my access point.
