These have been great! I purchased them for around $15 and it would have costed me $50 or more to buy an umbrella with lights already attached. Instillation, easy but tedious. I DID NOT take the umbrella down or take the canopy off. I stilly opened the umbrella got a ladder and ran each stream down each rib & zip-tied each one at the top. Then I did the same thing and zip-tied the end of the stream while holding tension to make sure the stream was pulled all the way out & used the zip-tie just above the last night to keep the tension on it. Continued the process, took me maybe 30 minutes with my OCD. The lights themselves are bright and great! I love that there is a remote, however, the remote can be confused to understand what each button does, but after a few presses on different buttons you get what you want lol. - I put the batteries in it and haven’t had to replace them & we’ve had them on the medium dimness for maybe a total of 12-14 hours all together. Super happy with the purchase and the lights!

Works as advertised. Installation instructions are negligible. I opened the umbrella halfway, slipped the canvas off the frame, opened the umbrella the rest of the way, flipped it over & set the frame on the floor. I laid out the light string from the battery box with the heavier wire to the 8 individual light strings, leaving them bundled up. Then I worked backwards, installing the 8th light string 1st. Unbundling & gently stretching out the copper wire along the frame rib from the center out to the end, using 3 of the provided zip ties per rib. Finally I routed the heavier silver wire back down the last rib to the hinged support rib and down that rib to next to the point where it supports the collar that slides along the main pole when the umbrella is cranked up or down. I connected the control box to that rib with a zip tie through the loop in the box. There was some excess wire, so I looped it together & zip tied it loosely to the top of the support rib where it hinges to the main rib. Then I turned the umbrella upright, cranked it down enough, to reinstall the cover over the frame and cranked it open completely. After installing batteries and closing the case. I pushed the on/off button on the box & the lights came on. Then I pulled the plastic tab out of the remote to activate it & pushed the red “off” button. The lights turned off. Then I cycled thru all the functions of the remote & everything worked as advertised. Great value for the price. I recommend this product.

We ordered two sets of these. Once installed, we were very happy with the results. Note a couple of things though. The LED's are not omnidirectional. Which means if they are not facing downward, it will diminish the light given off. Positioning them by hand was probably the most time consuming part of installing them, but I found the results to be worth it. (I'll try to come back and post a photo.) Also, you have to be mindful of installing them such that the wires do not get pinched in the joints of the umbrella, otherwise you'll damage them as soon as you close your umbrella. It ships with WHITE zip ties. My umbrellas are red, with a black metal frame. Because of this, I ordered black zip ties separately (4"), and boy am I glad I did. Looks terrific! Finally, of the two we ordered, only one remote works. Since the remotes are interchangeable, this is not a big deal for us. But I did notice that others had similar complaints about the remote. There is a button on the base/battery case to control it if your remote fails. On a side note, at our house we have cabinet lights indoors, multiple outdoor string lights around our pool, umbrella lights, and other similar LED lights all over. We are finding that there is significant cross interference among multiple remotes! It can be funny, or aggravating. But I wouldn't blame this on this product. Cheers!

They didn’t come with directions, and if you have a very large umbrella they won’t go all the way to the end, but other then that they are great!! I had read other people’s reviews and took the umbrella down from the table and that helped make it easier to put on. Took maybe 45 minutes to do it all. I used 3 zip ties on each one but was 2 short at the end so luckily my husband had some extra. They don’t change color, but they are still very pretty. The remote is so great and can change the brightness and do many modes of different patterns. Battery powered so no big solar thing in the way. We love it and think it was well worth the money.

These arrived overnight. The remote didn't work, but we decided to keep them because we wanted to use them the following night. These lights have quite a lot of pattern options, but they are mostly harsh flashing patterns. We just kept them on the basic solid pattern, lights worked fine.

These are not to be used as a lighting solution, but they do create a wonderful ambiance. Love the way they look. I wasn't looking to light up the space, but rather to give warmth to the designated area. It did the job perfectly.

They came with each strand individually wrapped and tied so there was no tangled-up mess. I placed my umbrella upside down on the ground and installed each strand individually. Then used ties to secure the battery compartment in a good place. I agree with another commenter that it would've been nicer if the ties they supplied were black, but no biggie. The cost difference between a new umbrella with solar lights and one without is a good bit. My umbrella didn't have lights so this was a very easy and economical was to add them. They add such a nice ambiance to the patio. I have many battery fairylights all throughout my house and love them. The timer feature is great. I don't use all the different light settings, just the steady on. The most important thing is to use good quality rechargeable batteries, like the ones I use: Eneloop! They are stronger and last longer. I probably recharge them about every 4 or 5 days.

My husband took the time to hang these on our umbrella. Although cumbersome, he took the time to do it. We tested the lights before and after hanging them. When he secured the umbrella into the table, the lights would not work when we tried to turn them on. We changed batteries, and it didn’t fix the issue. So, unfortunately, we never had the chance to experience them as intended. We were so frustrated with this experience, I didn’t have the energy to try and return them. Here we are several months later and I am searching for new umbrella lights since the ones we both last year were a bust! Do not recommend.

Having purchased a new purple parasol this summer, it seemed a great idea to add some twinkling lights for the evenings and night-time use. I was very pleased to come across this set, as they exceeded my expectations. The remote control is the "icing on the cake" as I can leave the lights attached to my jumbo parasol, and turn them off to preserve the batteries for the next time. The remote control has 8 settings plus on and off buttons. It's simple to flick through the selections and find your preferred sequence. The lights can twinkle and do a phased brightness, but I have to say the twinkling like the stars is my absolute favourite. No parasol should be without lights, and this set is perfect and is reasonably priced. I had a group of friends around for a birthday, and they all LOVED the lights and wanted to know where I got them from. I had to think twice about sharing, but I know they won't find them easily on Amazon, so I did!!! :) Back to business........these parasol lights are exquisitely beautiful!!!
