Thank you DragonLight Support Team **Q: I want to replace the 70w elliptical sodium bulb in an outdoor fitting with a 50w led one , is it the same size in length and width as a 70w son bulb?** A: I can only offer some approximate dimensions of the bayonet fitting version that I purchased; The total length is 181mm, comprising the COB envelope at 105mm, the base collar at 30mm + 10mm as it tapers sharply to the bayonet fitting of 36mm max.. Respective widths are; 47mm, 50mm and 30mm max. The base collar could be a bit of a pig depending on any existing shrouding on what is presumably an Edison fitting in your case. Another possible concern is that this unit has an internal ducted fan so needs adequate space around it to dissipate heat.
