McCormick Hollandaise Sauce, 56g /1.9oz., (Imported from Canada)

I don't eat hollandaise sauce, but my wife loves it for her birthday breakfast, and McCormick did a wonderful job with this package. All I had to do was add water, one stick of butter, the package of hollandaise and stir. She loved it and has frozen some of it for a future meal.

Very good sauce for eggs Benedict

Following the directions, the sauce was a light-yellow color but unusually thick. This sauce lacked the lemony flavor characteristic of Hollandaise, so it took a tad of "doctoring" to get the flavor paired appropriately with eggs benedict.

This is really tasty and simple to make. I’ve been buying these packets for years. It saves so much time and having to pull out the blender, etc.

To be honest I am a bit of a foodie. I worked in good restaurants for decades and ate my fair share of chef prepared sauces. I was a bit skeptical of Hollandaise from a mix but after reading the reviews and feeling a bit lazy, I tried this product. Wow! Life should be full of easy hacks like this. It was fast, easy to prepare and pretty darn tasty on my poached eggs/sm salmon benedicts! Two thumbs up!!!!

This Hollandaise sauce is absolutely DELICIOUS! Its only downside is the amount of butter that goes into it - 1/2 cup (125mL), that's about half a block of butter. Very naughty! I use the sauce with plain fish, but it is also good with vegetables (especially asparagus) or with a nice juicy steak. I try to eke the sauce out into 5 or 6 servings (it keeps in the fridge quite well and can be heated up in the microwave gently and used later during the week). I have two kinds of packets of McCormick Hollandaise "made with real buttermilk" in my pantry at the moment; one appears to be the standard mixture, which I was apprehensive about using because it doesn't say it's gluten-free (which we need in our household) and the other is "25% less salt" and gluten-free. I have been through the list of ingredients of the two - but they are virtually the same, and the only ingredient that might be a problem is yeast, depending on what that is made from). Either kind of sauce mix seems to be OK for my gluten-sensitive husband.

We buy this lots. It’s amazing. Tastes great and we use it on more than just eggs Benny. It’s yummy on salmon and chicken. Used it on pizza as a sauce once. So so yummy.
