Like a standard waffle maker
Like a standard waffle maker, the Presto Super Waffle Bowl features heated top and bottom sections that are connected by a hinge. But, it also boasts a unique concave shape that allows you to create thick and fluffy four-inch ‘bowls,’ which can be filled with just about anything, including eggs, bacon, syrup and butter, ice cream, or fruit.According to the website, all you have to do is allow the machine to preheat, pour in the batter of your choice (no special batter required), close the lid, and then allow it to bake. Then, when the time comes, its nonstick grids help ensure everything’s easy to remove. If you’re not in the mood for waffles, the Presto Bowl also works with a variety of other foods and ingredients, such as brownie batter, cinnamon roll dough, pizza dough, rice, and bacon—you can even make quesadillas. You have to admit that this concept seems appealing, and if it works exactly as described, that the device could live up to its promises of being easy to use, while making breakfast and other meals more exciting.A Quick Note About Presto Super Waffle Bowl’s ManufacturerIn business for more than three decades, Telebrands is far and away the largest As Seen on TV company in the industry, with hundreds of products to their name. Recent examples include California Charcoal, Pocket Hose Brass Bullet, Atomic Beam Glove, and Red Copper Pan.Telebrands held a D+ Better Business Bureau rating, based on more than 320 closed customer complaints, as of 2/16/18. Although a company rep responded with a resolution in each instance, common complaints appeared to revolve around lower product quality than expected, as well as less-than-stellar support experiences. My Bottom Line About the Presto Super Waffle BowlThe Presto Super waffle maker comes to us from a company with decades in business, who offers free S&H and who stands behind the product with a 30-day refund policy (although you’ll be responsible for return shipping charges if you’re dissatisfied with its performance). So, it seems you might not have much to lose by giving the product a try.On top of this, the identical 03500 model seemed to come with almost wholly positive online customer feedback, which could be a good indication you’ll experience much of the same if you choose to hand over your hard-earned money. However, based on what we learned while browsing online marketplaces like Google Shopping, Amazon, and Walmart.com during our research, it appears Telebrands (or more specifically, their Bulbhead division) sells the exact same product at exactly half the price.Even if you wanted to go directly through Presto, their branded version was available for just a few bucks more. So, if the price is your number one factor when purchasing, either of these might represent solid options. But if you're looking for the lowest cost option possible (although certainly much more labor-intensive than using a device like Presto), you can cook seven-inch batter circles in the oven for four to five minutes, remove, drape them over an inverted cup, and allow to cool before filling with the food of your choice and enjoying.

So Cool!
Okay seriously, this thing is AWESOME.I got it in the afternoon and immediately used it to make waffle bowls that night for dinner. And the next morning for breakfast. And then for lunch. And then for dinner.Granted, it was not just plain waffles the whole time. I was experimenting!I used the basic waffle recipe out of the booklet that came in the box, and it turned out perfectly without any cooking spray or complications. I got a beautifully toasty waffle bowl in 3 minutes. Fresh out of the maker, the waffles are fluffy and easy to bend if you want to use them taco style, which is what I did for breakfast with some butter, powdered sugar, and a fresh banana folded in waffley goodness. We also tried filling them with a variety of berries and other fruits (thawed from being frozen in bags) and topped it all off with whipped cream. There are so many good things to try, I don't think you can go too far wrong here.If you like your waffles a little more crispy-crunchy, you can cook them a little longer in the maker, or just let them warm a few minutes in a 200 degree oven while you keep making more. They are still very tasty, but become firmer and unbendable, which I think you would want if you're using softer fillings such as yogurt or ice cream.I also tried other things besides waffle mix.For lunch I made a potato bowl. I tried using both hash browns and tater tots (the frozen bagged ones, microwaved to thaw first), and they both worked. Obviously they take longer to cook, and you have to position the potatoes with more care to make a complete bowl since they won't flow up to the edges like a batter will, but still. Tastiness! You can fill a potato bowl with eggs or just top it off with salt and cheese. For dinner I made cornbread bowls for chili, and they turned out super yummy! The jiffy cornbread mix actually has a recipe on the box for making it waffle style instead of traditional style. Very easy!It was so fun making bowls that I ended up with a few extras in the freezer, so I'll get to see how they are when re-heated.Next up on my list: brownie bowls and cookie bowls!I got this thing mostly for the novelty of it, and I gotta say I'm glad I did. It's been a lot of fun, and a lot of deliciousness the last two days!

I just got mine and it's perfect. Anyone who doesn't wanna fuss with carving out bread to make bread bowls, this is perfect. The size is perfect. I stumbled onto this product here after I typed in the word waffle maker. Healthy bread is to expensive, so I wanted to find another solution to this problem. One can make healthier batters. Who ever thought of this is a genius. you can do so much with this. I hope Amazon doesn't mind me putting some recipes I found on youtube. I took some photos of my own so people can see where the fill line is and get a better look at this item. It's a really clever idea. Note: this item is also great when you can’t afford a loaf of bread. I also highly recommend the dash egg cooker. I love the way my eggs come out so perfectly. I’ve Provided a photo of the dash egg cooker below.Oatmeal WafflesINGREDIENTS:3 cups rolled oats1 ripe banana+ 2 1/2 cups of water!!!Oatmeal WafflesIngredients...+ Oatmeal, Blended (1/2 cup)+ Almond Milk (1/4 cup)+ Banana (1/4)+ Applesauce (1 tbsp)+ Egg White (1)SHOPPING LIST6 Large Eggs1 Cup Uncooked Oats2 Bananas2 Teaspoons Peanut Butter2 Teaspoons Honey150ml Low Fat YogurtPREPARATIONCrack open one whole egg into a mixing bowlSeparate the other 5 egg whites into the mixing bowlMix the 1 egg and 5 egg whitesAdd the cup of uncooked oatsMix well and set to one sidePeel the bananas and slice up on 2 platesHeat a large frying pan and cover with non-stick sprayWhen the pan is heated, add the oats & egg mixtureCook for about 2-3 minutes - the "cookie" will become golden brownCarefully flip the cookie over - remember it will be hot, so don't burn yourselfCook for a further 2-3 minutes until golden brownRemove from stoveSlide the cookie on to a flat cutting surfaceSlice the cookie into 4 equal piecesSpread some peanut butter on 2 of the slicesPour a little honey over the slices with the peanut butterPut the other 2 slices of cookie on top of the peanut butter & honey slices - making a little sandwichPlace the 2 cookies on the plates with the sliced bananaPour some yogurt over the cookies - and serveWe used bananas in our recipe, but you can use any fruit

Makes food fun
This is such a cool gadget to make fun food. I saw some pictures of creative food bowl ideas which convinced me to buy it. I think my kids will enjoy it. It is easy to use and cooks waffles in about three minutes. The waffles come out really easy which makes the iron easy to wipe clean. I did accidentally make a scratch on the non stick part of my waffle iron without much pressure when using a metal fork once, so just be extra careful. The waffles were delicious.

Best waffle maker yet!!!!
LOVE IT!!!! So much better than trying to eat with two chaffles for a sandwich as everything falls out.I mix coconut flour, eggs and cheese with some chicken bouillon powder. Cooks perfectly in the waffle bowl maker. I drain a can of chicken breast, chopped red onion, cheddar cheese and a bit of Red Robin seasoning and cook stovetop for a few minutes then add to waffle bowl. Delicious.

This kitchen gadget is THE coolest thing ever
I’ve been using this waffle bowl maker every day. It’s simple and fun to use. It’s easy to clean and did I mention it’s fun to use? I’ve experimented with different amounts of batter which dictates the size of the bowl. I’ve tried different bowl fillers (scrambled eggs and bacon, chili, etc) and it tastes great. I’ve also experimented with the amount of time you leave waffle mix cooking, longer time creating a more crunchy bowl. I used a gluten free box mix for the waffles and though it says it wasn’t necessary I lightly oiled the machine for the first use. All in all I believe it’s an excellent product and the family will get a lot of use from it.

Waffle Bowl Pro!!!!
This isn’t just another waffle maker—it’s a game-changer. Sure, it makes perfect waffle bowls for classic butter and syrup, but we’ve used it for so much more. It turns out beautiful edible bowls for fresh fruit and whipped cream, stunning ice cream sundaes, and even savory showstoppers like chicken and waffles or hearty breakfast bowls packed with scrambled eggs and bacon.Truly Non-Stick Performance, I was initially concerned about the waffles sticking or tearing when removing them, but they release effortlessly every single time. No fuss, no frustration—just perfect bowls ready to fill.Pro-Tip: Don't overfill it! A little less batter than you think you need goes a long way, as it expands perfectly to fill the bowl shape without spilling over.

Quality control? My second one is not like first
I LOVVVVVED mine! I have sent these to three other friends as gifts! I have owned nonstick pans int he past and know they must be treated carefully. The surface is a bit finicky but you must make sure the thing is heated completely (that means keeping the lid closed while waiting for it to heat). It's a bit hit or miss but I enjoy everything it makes so it's worth the attention. That said, I ordered one for my BF, and just took it out to make some waffles and.... the first four batches stuck - badly. The fifth was so bad I had to use a wooden chopstick to carefully nudge the pieces from the center. I used the same recipe and followed manufacturers directions to the T, and as I said the one I have has not had such problems. We tried everything. Ended up having to put a wet rag with soap in it and close the lid, but even then I had too use my finger to push out pieces. So I am returning this but want Presto to see if there are some inconsistencies in the maufacturing that might cause the non-stick to be... well less non stick from unit to unit? So it is with a heavy hear that I give this 3 stars - but there is no option for a split. One deserves 1 star but the other a 5, so I don't know what else to do!
