UTK 5X Far Infrared Heating Pad for Arm & Elbow with Jade, 1 Min Fast Heat

Great heat for places you can't properly cover with a pad. This won't replace your heating pad that can be used on your back, however, it is perfect for joints, arms, legs, etc. PT recommended daily heat for elbow pain. This did the trick. This covers joints, wherein a traditional pad cannot apply properly. I thought about a microwavable pad, but didn't want the hassle and the quick cool down issue that would cause me to get up and microwave again. I love this. 1) Plug it in the wall; 2) Wrap around your joint; 3) Turn on with desired heat temp and set timer if desired. Voila! I love that it is a set it and forget it application. This definitely holds a constant temperature and gets very warm if desired. The timer is great, because I can fall asleep (easy to do with this comforting warmth) without worrying it is on too long. The velcro on this wrap holds great. I can see where this would be good for places like knee, neck, etc. I believe the warranty is 3 years, which is another plus that prompted me to purchase this.

This jade infrared heating pad is very nice and feels high quality. The build feels solid and premium. It is rated to go up to 159 degrees, which is far hotter than I have ever needed. The jade stones heat up very well, and I can feel the warmth penetrating internally even at lower settings. The size is one of its biggest advantages. It wraps easily around smaller areas like my shoulder, ankle, wrist, or arm, where a larger pad would be awkward or inconvenient. It stays comfortable to use and delivers consistent heat. I also appreciate the included carrying case. It keeps everything organized and makes storage easy without having cables wrapped loosely or the pad left out. It feels well thought out and travel friendly for home or hotel use. My only real complaint is portability in a car. It requires a standard power outlet, and I do not want to use a power inverter in my vehicle. That said, this is likely due to the power requirements of the heating element, so it is not really a flaw so much as a limitation. Overall, this is a high-quality, effective infrared heating pad that feels premium, works well, and is especially useful for targeted areas where larger pads are inconvenient.

I initially bought another infrared pad and returned it, no heat, no temp control, no flexibility. This long strip is great, the heat comes quickly and you can use it with the timer so you don't overdo it. What's not to like. Long cord makes it very convenient. I have the bigger back pad coming as well. I hope it has a good long life. Been using it since 2022, love that you can wrap it anywhere - DON'T love it that manufacturers insist on using wimpy hook and loop that is not strong velcro. So, you wrap it and move slightly and it's unwrapped. That is really annoying. I think they could have spent the extra $1.00 on real Velcro.

I broke my elbow 3 years ago, and have had 3 subsequent surgeries on it to relieve the pain. It still bothers me now, but when it does I rely on this unique heating pad to help ease the ache. The jade stones hold heat well which helps deeply penetrate the affected area. It's AWESOME to be able to wrap my elbow when it hurts or my knees if I'm feeling stiff there. I lost my first UTK heating pad in a long distance move last year and have missed it so much I've finally bought a replacement. It's expensive, but it works. If I lose this one, I'll be back for another.

Beware: the first time (which unfortunately was more than 30 days after Amazon delivery) that I attempted to use this “heated wrap” the temperature would not go above 96 degrees F. Despite repeated attempts, the heat never came. I sent repeated emails to UTK requesting a refund or non-defective product. They responded with irrelevant answers like, an offer to extend the warranty to 2 years and to wrap it looser. (I never wrapped it in the 1st place because the temperature readout was 96 and it didn’t feel warm enough to use. I wasted $97.75 plus tax.

Works as stated, but couple things to note: 1) it’s long enough for a couple wraps around elbow or ankle, but may not be sufficient for larger parts like knee or thigh; 2) the stones are spaced so heating is not well-distributed; 3) CAUTION!! Stones can get extremely hot. Actually caused a small burn blister where direct skin contact and set to 138 deg. If you prefer high heat, be careful of the stones.

this is my 4th heating pad that i have from UTK.. i love each one of them... i am thrilled with this new wrap design and it will be easy to take when traveling. i have had a bit of an earache the last 2 days.. so yesterday when i received my new wrap i decided to try it to place warmth around my ear. it felt nice and warm while in place and this morning.. i woke with no earache.. what i love about the IR heating pads from UTK is that you do not have to make the pad so hot.. it can be a gentle warmth and it delivers the benefits far deeper than a normal heating pad. I have in the past utilized their customer service and always have received prompt reply and they have always helped to resolve any issues or questions. so having a few year relationship with this company i feel confident in recommending them for their infrared heating pads.... very user friendly too.. and love that you have it set to a timer
