This little doodad lites up my smokes pretty nice. A double press of the activator button and a glowing X fires it right up. It only took about 2 hours to charge it up. It does not have a lot of "burn time" but it is sufficient. **Q: the arc insert barely gets through 1 pk of cigs before recharging. Have to charge every night is that normal?** A: It is normal in my experience. The battery is rather small - I’ve had larger arc lighters that drained pretty fast too. It’s not a perfect substitute for regular fluid, but it’s easier to travel with **Q: How do you fill with butane? Says hole on bottom is charging light & to small to fit tip? I have double arc & no instructions- can’t fill = useless!?!** A: There is a hole in the bottom. The tip of my butane can fits inside it and charges it without any issues. **Q: Can the battery be replaced? The description states the limit of how many charges the battery can take, but then do you throw it out?** A: The battery in our Zippo Arc lighter insert cannot be replaced. Rechargeable batteries, like all batteries, have a use life, and once that’s over, the battery can no longer hold a charge. Please do not throw out batteries. Good part of my collection need to have it ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ You have to be smarter than the lighter... *by P***Y on March 21, 2024* After considerable thought and research I decided to go with Zippo as my primary lighter and a big part of that was the arc insert. The whole insert system itself was a master stroke in my opinion. I got the double butane torch and the arc at the same time. Despite reading and following the instructions I couldn't get the first arc to ignite. I returned it. I received the replacement shortly thereafter and had the same issue. Then as I was about to give up and return the whole thing I happened to notice a little paper insert in the box that near the bottom mentions a double tap ignition system. Oi! It works like a champ. Perfect fit, excellent construction, clean, safe, and for those that can read easy to use. No issue with the double butane torch whatsoever. For the price they are both simply excellent. Since this experience I have thought of applications for some of the other inserts available and at these prices why not? I read the instruction leaflet and it says press the ignition button and hold it. Be nice if they more prominently displayed the double tap instruction somewhere as it is an excellent safety feature.
