From Head to Toe: An Energetic Picture Book About Animals and Movement

This is one of our toddlers new favorite books! It is great for learning to follow directions and different body parts while getting some energy out. I would recommend this for any active toddler.

Such a fun, interactive book! If you don’t have it, you should! So much fun!

•gets the wiggles out •interactive, delightful way to learn general body terms •fun way to learn to follow directions •fun way to learn some animal names. (However, if you have a group, - spread them out for the donkey(?) leg kicks; or, tape that option shut & pass over—)

My almost two year old granddaughter goes to day care three days per week, I purchased this book for her to donate to the school for her upcoming birthday. One of the reasons I chose From Head to Toe is it is appropriate for a variety of ages. The bold illustrations will appeal to younger children and older children; early readers and listeners will learn to name animals, body parts and how they move in a similar way for both of us. The story is interactive which is wonderful for toddlers who don't sit still and they can reinforce what they learned by acting out what they have heard! This is not one of Carle's better known books so it is usually a safe book to gift. All in all, a wonderful book. Very happy with this purchase, would recommend for children age 1 to 7. If your younger child isn't interested in it, put it away for a few months then try again.

"I am I" is not a typo, people. It's the person speaking to the parrot. My kids have loved this book for decades and I'm now buying one for my grandchild.

It's a cute story and more active than Brown Bear, etc. My daughter is in love with Brown Bear and Polar Bear so I got this as an Easter gift. I like that I can act out the animal moves and try to get her to do it, too (she's 10 months). She laughs at some of the moves. The story is basically saying you are an animal, ex: I am a monkey. I can move my arms. Can you? and Then a child replying they can do it too. I like the size of the book - easy for her to hold and flip through. The board book is good because I don't have to worry about her ripping the pages. I gave it four stars because she seems to prefer the other two books.

Bought this because it looked cute. Little did I know it would be the Toddlers favourite book. The girls are 2 and 3 and we do this book several times a day. It makes them move their heads, nech, shoulders, back, hips, toes, chest, legs and feet all while matching it to favourite animals. "I'm a penguin and I can move my head, can you?" I highly recommend this book to anyone who has young children in the house. As you can see above it also teaches them the various parts of their bodies.

My daughter loves this book and can act out all the gestures from it. I would recommend all books by Eric Carle for infants and toddlers. The artwork is very interesting, and kids always learn something while having fun.

Good books to teach children English! Very easy to read and sing with the little ones! Definitely recommended for teachers or for children at home that want to learn English
