Secret Indiscretions (A Dangerous Love Novel)

I am a huge Trice Hickman fan and love all of her books. Secret Indiscretions is by far the best of her work. I absolutely loved the way Hickman gave us a front row seat into the marital woes of Geneva, Johnny, Vivana, and Samuel. Yea, yea, we know; you're always on the outside looking in someone's life. Any man would be happy to have Geneva by his side. Johnny, however, feels he is the Pied Piper and can charm any woman he wants. Handsome, swagger-filled, and financially successful, his premise is well founded since women throw themselves at him. Why pay attention to what's at home when other women are available at a moment's notice? When Vivana steps into his life, he thinks he's found another woman to use and toss. Ha! This is where Hickman leaves us in a frenzy akin to a sugar rush! Drama, excitement, obsession, and no-that-man-didn't phrases sail past readers lips as we go deeper into this love square! I applaud Hickman for getting into the mindset of selfish men through Johnny's interior monologue. You'll want to slap some sense into Johnny after the first chapter. This novel was such a delicious treat because readers see what happens when men and women take a good spouse for granted. My finger is itching to one-click the sequel! Loved it, Trice!!!!

This novel was so great. It had everything page turner, mystery, twists and turns, murder. When you get involved in a discretionary relationship with a married woman or man you knowingly know what you are about to get yourself into. Except Johnny Mayfield never saw crazy or one of his blackmail victims getting fed up with him being a lazy, cheating degenerate. Viviana Owens was a walking deranged woman from the first page. Samuel Owens was the next door neighbor you would want to have in your corner. Every woman's dream of a spouse. Geneva Mayfield gave her marriage her best shot. Clean house, wash clothes, great cook, lover and spouse. It wasn't enough. This novel was excellent in all of it's story telling and delivery. Johnny's best friend Bernard tried to fore-warn him but when you caught up in deception there's only drama around the corner.

I really enjoyed this book. I moved from this genre of books in my 20s but a recent join to a book club brought this book my way. I reluctantly began reading it and found that I could not put it down. That was enough for me. I will definitely read this author again.

Trice Hickman did her thing with Secret Indiscretions. This book was oozing with drama, suspense, and obsession of the strait jacket type. Geneva Mayfield is a good woman and will do anything to keep her marriage intact including being a doormat to her husband. Deep in her heart, she knows the truth about her no good husband Johnny but when is enough, more than enough? We as women hate to give up especially on someone we love as is evident with Geneva. In this roller coaster book, we also meet Samuel Owens who has his own marital issues. It was good to see a man who tried to keep his marriage together rather than resort to cheating as a form of release. This is a rarity in most stories. As the story proceeds, there is more drama than the final episodes of Dallas. You will be left with many unanswered questions. Does Geneva finally finds happiness with her husband Johnny? What becomes of Samuel's marriage? You have to one click to find out and I can guarantee you will not be disappointed with one of the author's best works. I will impatiently be waiting for the sequel!!

Wow, Ms. Hickman has woven an intriguing tale of love on the rocks, and how kindred spirits meet in the mist of it all. Secret Indiscretions exploded with bold, brash characters like Johnny and Viviana , and calm caring ones in Geneva and Samuel. A simple look into their tumoltuous marriages , carelessness, and in Johnny's case callousness is beautifully written. She hammers away at the relationship failures through humor laced drama and excitement. She drops an unexpected pearl in the form of a small town murder. This romance earns 5 stars for the crystals of suspense in Secret Indiscretions. If you love a good romance suspense One Click Ms. Hickman!

Wow! Talk about drama from beginning to end. I'm finally able to come up for air after finishing this book. It was the true definition of a page-turner. I will never forget any of these characters, especially Vivana. Villain is not even an accurate word to describe this woman. She was in a class of her own. Great storyline, strong characterization and good pacing. I enjoyed this story and I can't wait for the sequel. Kudos to Trice Hickman for another awesome story.

This is my first book by Ms. Hickman and I'm on the fence about whether or not it'll be my last. The writing was great, the characters were so complex and flawed and the plot had one surprise after another. I though this was a romance novel with African American people instead of Caucasians, but I was wrong. This was an intrigue, a murder mystery where we're led through the entire case to the point where someone is killed. But we're left wondering by whom. And that was a shocker. And then, another twist. Holy cow. I do believe I'm going to have to continue reading such a good storyteller.

This was a 10+ Bestseller! The characters all fit, Trice did it again! So real and to the point, every page was filled with suspense, wondering what was next! Johnny was true to form, even though I was surprise with some of the things he had done, so sad, but his life as a kid had a lot to do with his end, marriage and friendship. I do not want to give too much of the ending but karma is a mother, if ever you can believe in this term, Johnny proves it! Toward the end I actually started feeling sorry for him, not really, but I am a bleed heart! More than worth the read! Part 2 is in 2016! Can't wait, too long!
