SAFE SEA Jellyfish Sting-Blocking SPF 50+ Sunscreen Bottle 4.0 oz 1 Pack

Bought this for the Delaware Beaches which we're having a jellyfish invasion just in time for our vacation ugh! Saw this online and figured we would try it. It worked like a charm! Saw tons of jellyfish in the ocean but none of us had any problems. Not one sting! Yes it is very thick and white and you need to use a lot to get full coverage but totally worth it. Four of us two adults and two teens went through 2 bottles of the lotion in a week.

I was told about this from a friend. Her son is apparently a magnet for jellyfish. She watched a video where a woman put a jellyfish on her arm while wearing this & didn't get stung. However, while her son hasn't been stung while wearing it, she couldn't swear that there were jellyfish near him on those days. She also told me that the only thing she didn't like is that it's really thick, like Vaseline. I'm saying all this to make my point... We live on a river that has lots of jellyfish in the summer. I hate not being able to swim when I see them. So I bought a bottle and decided to test it out for myself! First of all, it did NOT feel like Vaseline. It wasn't nearly as thick as I was told it was. I made sure to put it everywhere on my legs when I went to test it. As expected, there were plenty of jellies to use as test subjects. After getting up the nerve (and keeping the hubby on standby with a handful of sand), I walked into a jelly. He slipped right past my leg. So I kicked at it to get it on the front part of my leg. He just slid right off! And NO STING! I did this several times to make sure I was actually touching it's tentacles, and every time, it either slid past or off my leg. I'm sold!!!! And the sunscreen aspect works, as well! We were out in full sun for several hours and I didn't burn. It's pricey for the size of the bottle. But I will only use this when I'm swimming with jellies. So I won't use it at the pool or the ocean. Which means it should last a couple of seasons. A jellyfish sting isn't life-altering, but who wants to experience it? Not me. The piece of mind I now have, knowing that it definitely works, is worth every penny I paid for it!!!!! Maybe next time I'll get video of a jellyfish encounter and add it here.

After spending a few days in Rehoboth in the jellyfish infested waters, I'd say this works great. I did a bit of an experiment testing a couple of methods. I only put this lotion (heavy) on my legs from my knees to my ankles and went in the water just wearing my swim shorts. I got in and out of the water several times and swam as I normally would. I got stung on my back, sides, and arms multiple times. It generally wasn't that bad, just a minor annoyance other than one sting on my back which was more severe. But, not one single sting on my legs where I put the lotion, which is the most likely place to get stung. After a bit I came out and put on a rash guard shirt to try also. No more stings on my torso from then on. In the afternoon, I didn't reapply the lotion to my legs and went back in, stung multiple times within minutes, including once with jellyfish tentacles wrapped around my toes which was the most severe sting I took. Funny thing is that didn't bother me as much as stepping on one a few minutes later that was bigger than my foot. That was just weird, then the thought of a jellyfish bigger than my foot made me get out for a bit. I still went back in though. I wasn't going to let that ruin being in the ocean on vacation. I also put the lotion on one of my daughters who was brave enough to get in with me and she got stung twice, but even the 6 year old wasn't bothered enough to stay out. Couple of tips; buy more than you think you need. You need to put in on thick for it to work well. Just 2 of us using it, we went through almost a whole 4oz bottle in 1 day. Let it completely soak into you skin before going in the water. And, it says right on the bottle that it's only waterproof for about 80 minutes. Its efficacy starts to decline after an hour in the water. Make sure to reapply. The whole process is a bit of a PITA, but it works and will turn something that could be pretty painful into almost nothing at all.

I bought this for my family’s vacation to Galveston- where last we went, there was plenty of jellyfish stings and tears. I was prepared this time. I don’t know if there was less jellies or if this actually works. There were no stings, but we did see some jellies. I’m just going to put this down to a successful product because we walked away from a Galveston beach trip stingless. I will be buying again. A 4 star though because the price of the product is so steep. The bottles are small and I’ve got a big family. You need multiple of these bottles.

This is very thick, but it worked as far as we knew! None of us got stung. I will say, it’s thick… if you reapply, you can look white so reapply sparingly. It stays though, it didn’t come off in the water and we had to use rags and soap to remove it when showering! Quality product!

My wife bought this before she took our kids to the beach. There are a lot of sunscreens out there that are bad for your body and have so many chemicals in them. This one seemed to check more boxes than most when it comes to what is in it and the benefit it provides. Once she got back from FL, she told me she loved this sunscreen. None of our kids got a sunburn, and 2 of my 3 kids were stung by jellyfish and this stuff helped more than usual. She definitely recommends this and I can see her purchasing a bottle everytime we go to the beach. Highly recommend!

This product seemed to have worked as a sunscreen, but after covering my son head to toe in this thick, greasy lotion, he was still stung several times by jellyfish while swimming. My husband was also stung after using this lotion. It also doesn’t go very far. It takes a lot to cover your whole body and there isn’t too much in the bottle to begin with. I would not recommend anyone waste their money on this.

I will first say, that I have not had a chance to use this sunscreen yet because it only just arrived. That being said I am quite disappointed with the amount you get for the cost. The size of the bottle is already small, but it is also deceiving. You can see from my picture that the bottle is still completely sealed but with the light behind it, you can also see that the bottle is only about half full. This sunscreen is expensive. I was excited about it due to the amount of positive reviews and the possibility of it protecting my kids from the jellyfish when we go on vacation this summer. I also love the fact that it is reef safe. If this sunscreen is amazing when we use it, I may come back and edit my review.. but for now, I am disappointed as I do not think the money is worth the amount that you get.

Pues como protector solar si sirve pero contra malaguas no tanto jaja, se metieron muy confiados mis hijos embarrados de su proteccion anti malaguas y si les picaron. No se si les hubieran picado mas sin esto.. pero salieron picoteados.

Ottima protezione solare, messa 1 volta al mattino e fatti 2 bagni in mare, zero scottature, ottimo profumo. Meduse non ve n'erano quindi noj so se funziona. Aggiorno la recensione quando vado nel nord Adriatico che è pieno. Made in Israele una garanzia top. La bottiglia è poco più di metà di una normale, una confezione mi è bastata solo 1 settimana. La consistenza è molto viscosa, per questo resta sulla pelle fino a sera nonostante i 2 bagni in mare al giorno.

We used this quality sun tan lotion whole visiting the Galápagos Islands. It was relatively easy to apply and we did not burn.
