Segway Ninebot Password Cable Lock for Bikes and Scooters, Black

Amazing to me that a Segway branded lock wasn't more expensive than other options. This comes with a specially designed bracket that fits on the handlebar and allows the lock to slide on and latch into place when you're riding around. It is very innovative and easy - and means you don't have to remember to put the lock into your bag when leaving. You always have it. This is a great accessory if you own one of the Segway e-scooters that it fits.

I'm riding the Ninebot MAX. There is not a lot of space on the handlebars for accessories. Previously I had the original Ninebot phone holder. I would not recommend this product for two reasons (1) my iPhone jumped out of the holder and smashed on the concrete (2) on a separate occasion I had a minor fender bender and the phone holder broke. The reason why I share this is because if you can only have one accessory on your handlebars then I would recommend this lock. I like how it is not intrusive and I always have it on me. For tying up your scooter whilst grabbing a sandwich from Subway (or in my case, hitting some tennis balls) this is the perfect lock.

Installed on our scooters and this lock seems to be well made. The installation of the holder and changing of the combination was very easy and straight forward. Would definitely recommend for any electric scooter owner

I tested this product before I left home and it worked fine. But two days ago, I used this to lock my electric scooter to a bench at a track field, but it wouldn’t unlock at all. I used my custom password and the default password, but it still wouldn’t unlock. It ended up being jammed. I had to cut through it with a really sharp and strong knife. I do NOT recommend using this product!! DO NOT BUY!!

It works well. At least it gives me the peace of mind to park my scooter somewhere and go back for it.

Bike locks require the owner to set them to the owners specifications. To do this, the owner needs to be able to read the manufacturers instructions for setting the code. The manufacturer of this product has a shipping label used to send the product to Amazon that is adhesive and completely covers the instructions for the owner. The label does not come off easily and required the heat from a hair dryer to be removed. This is a nuisance and could prevent the owner from setting the lock if they are unable to remove the shipping label. The company needs to be more thoughtful in the size and placement of the shipping label.

Looks nice, but there is a sticker over the instructions, so currently it is worthless to me. Not sure how to contact seller so I can get a copy of the instructions to set the lock. Poor packaging. After about an hour of research, and videos about older models, I finally figured out there is a half circle that lifts up, ah ha, and when it is up, one can reset the lock, then allow the half circle piece to go back down flat. Nothing says set like in the older models. Now it is useful, will change to a 5 star product, but the packaging needs redone. DO NOT cover the instructions, please.

A good combination lock to be used for your e-scooter. It would go well with Segway Ninebot as well as other scooter brands. The quality is durable and good. I recommend this product.
