Needed some extra clothes hanging and this was the perfect choice. Extends easily, great length - In actual use I use about 10ft. Great for lighter clothes but something heavy will stay on (just causes the cable to dip down as expected - not an issue). I have a 1 bedroom place so this really helps with space. The steel cable is thick enough to hold weight, but not too big to cause retracting problems. Would purchase again! Mounting was easy with some tools (drill and screw driver).

I wanted a clothes line to hang my blouses and larger items like comforters and blankets ... those things that I don't want to spend hours drying in a dryer. This unit was fairly easy to install (you have to measure both sides of where you're going to use it ... one side for the box and the other where it's going to latch). There's a locking mechanism that makes the line taut so it doesn't sag. This is a great little product and I'm looking forward to a bit warmer weather to dry more of my clothes outdoors. I'd highly recommend.

Nice packaging, looks good on my deck posts. Seems pretty sturdy, the mounting is good with metal plates. Retrieve reel seems a little slow but all in all it is pretty sturdy. Time will tell when I hang my sheets if it is! Update May 2021: It was working great till the wind took it! Amazing, I could hand a full set of king size sheets and my bath towels at the same time and it worked great. That was till a big wind >45mph came up with king size sheets on it. Snap! - well go figure I wouldn't even try to calculate the load that was. So, what broke? Not the plastic, and not the mount, but then keeper on the end of the cable. Easy fix! Really this is a positive review. This morning I took the end cap off (pry with a screwdriver) and inside found the little slit keeper for the cable. I pried it open with a screwdriver, slipped it over the end of the cable again, flattened it tight with a pair of pliers, snapped the cap on and it is back in service. I love things that are robust as promised but when things get crazy, can be repaired rather than thrown away. I'm revising my starts to five due to the fixable nature.

I'm pretty happy with my new clothesline. I love that it's self storing and easy to use. Installation wasn't bad. The first time I went to use it I did notice a little "knick" in the line where the coating is broken. I'm hoping that doesn't cause damage to my clothes. Other than that, I'm very happy!

We have tried a few of these indoor home clothes line type products. This one is, by FAR, the sturdiest and highest quality. I am able to easily hang damp blankets, towels, bedding and heavy workwear without any stress on the line. It was easy to install and when we had a few product questions, a very helpful, knowledgeable person got back to us to help us immediately--on a weekend! I love Amazon, but sometimes buying home products here can be a hit or a miss. This one is a definite hit, with great customer service, too. A well-deserved five stars.

This is a great gadget! We have a sunroom off of our house that leads out to the pool. We installed it in there, and it's perfect for hanging up suits after they've been rinsed out, as well as my granddaughter's life jacket. Once things are dry, I take them down, retract the clothesline, and done! It's out of the way and perfect!

This clothesline is very strong. I have it spanned across a room ( 11.5 ft.) and it easily holds 3 or 4 wet, heavy beach towels without sagging. I too thought there were 2 lines because of the knobs, but one is just the lock. It is a bit bulky, but I installed it into wood and it holds great. My trim colors match the off white, so it does actually blend into the background when not in use. The newer model is a little more streamlined if you are worried about the "bulk". I accidentally broke the end knob off of the line (completely my fault) and asked if and how I could fix it. Gorillaline is sending me a replacement at no cost. I'm so glad, because we use it every day! Customer service sought me out when I posted a question about fixing it. So friendly and quick. Above and beyond the typical customere service experience!!

This is a great clothesline. It is easy to install and works well. I have it in the laundry room in a location where I am able to leave the line stretched across all the time, but it would be simple to retract it after each use, if necessary.
