An excellent light bulb when a lot of light is needed.
Fits a standard size bulb socket. Bulb is 6.4 inches tall and 3.3 inches wide, so slightly larger than a standard incandescent. Make sure it fits your situation. As with all LED bulbs works best in an open fixture as a closed fixture causes heat buildup and shortens lifespan of bulb. 25,000 hour lifespan so a lot more expensive than an incandescent but over the lifespan saves you money. Uses only 33 watts of electricity but puts out the equivalent of a 300 watt incandescent bulb. This bulb is BRIGHT. Imagine 3 or 4 times the light of a 100 watt incandescent bulb. Excellent choice where you need to light a large area but do not have room for numerous lights. Would be very suitable for a large room. I use mine in a floor stand lamp with shade in a 15X15 foot room and no over head fixture and few electrical outlets. It easily lights up every corner of the room. Would also work well in a ceiling fixture in a room with a high ceiling. (long life also precludes need to be constantly changing bulbs that are hard to reach). Also good for stairwells. Probably not suitable for a nightstand lamp or any situation where you will be sitting near it as it can be rather blinding. I have purchased numerous Feit bulbs and they are excellent. Company stands behind their products. Save your receipt and if bulb does not last expected lifespan they will replace it.

Lots of light !! A bit large.
UPDATE Nov. 2025. Did some energy assessment. So, each bulb draws 35 watts. I previously had two 15 watt LED bulbs on a "Y" socket, trying to produce enough light distributed evenly. Just one of these bulbs now generates nearly 500 lumens more light than the two it replaced, at about the same or less wattage. I couldn't count the lumens by looking, but I can see that the area is significantly brighter. The single bulb (instead of two) plays the light in all directions evenly. These are not compatible with dimmers, nor do they need to be. They are intended for substantial illumination with energy efficiency. If you want a dimmer you don't need these bulbs. There is a three (3) year warranty on these bulbs and I plan to determine that they last at least that long. "Cheap" LED bulbs in our experience begin to flicker, or partially light up, or some other symptom before they completely fail. The brand name Feit has been among our better experiences among LED bulbs. Initial review follows. These have gone into the garage where two sockets on open rafters have been the only source of light. The oversized globe might be a problem in the house, but out here there's plenty of room and now plenty of light. Caution: Make sure your fixture is in good shape. These LED bulbs concentrate their heat in the base rather than the glass like the incandescents. That means the socket, wiring and contacts must be able to take higher temperatures. Since these are mounted upside down in my case, (heat rises) it makes the matter even more important to consider.

Great light, but it is big...
I bought this to place in an outdoor shaded fixture mounted on a 250+ year old building. I absolutely did not want a high color temp, modern looking light, but I also don't want to be running an actual 300w lamp there at this point. While a 300w incandescent lamp that high doesn't really put out much light on the ground, at night, in the country, it's enough to see the stairs and such. Well haven't gotten up there yet (it's 3 stories up, and I haven't pulled that ladder out yet), so when I decided I needed more light in my office space, this lamp was available. I have kinda a weird lofted space in the house that's the office, and there's a wagon wheel light fixture hanging up there. Not exactly my taste, but it gets the job done. Well I did the lamps on the perimeter of the fixture in LED, and that has worked out nicely, but now and again I need LIGHT when I'm doing some detailed project. So I put this lamp in the center lamp location. It's bigger than it looks in the photos. (that's not shocking, 300 watt incandescent lamps are huge too.) I had to replace the glass globe on the fixture as the 7" sphere it had was a bit small to contain this lamp. 8" did the trick. Now, when I need the extra light, I can just turn on that center light, and the office gets super bright. The 3000K color temp is my preference for most indoor living spaces. I go to 4000K in the kitchen or shop space. The color rendition feels pretty good, but I haven't spent time with just this lamp on to know if it's the other lamps filling out the spectrum. So, I've now gone from a fixture that was pulling 450w with all incandescents, to 75w now with far more light from the center globe. (600w equivalent) Overall, this is a great lamp. If you go in to it knowing it isn't going to fit in a lot of fixtures, you're likely good to go. I've already ordered another to put in that 3rd story exterior light fixture when I can get up there...

This is a great bulb. It is very bright and works flawlessly. I highly recommend for anyone who wants a brighter work area or just wants the brightness of the summer sun in their home on a dark winters day.

The A23 LED 300W Equivalent bulbs are really good quality, and they do deliver on brightness. The bulb's dimensions are posted, but I included a photo of this bulb next to a standard size bulb for reference.

Received Aug 9, installed on standard switch (not dimmed) in front hallway that gets turned on only a few times a day, died in early December. Was plenty bright when it worked but not worth the money for a an LED that only lasts a few months.

We put it in our garage over the work bench, it is perfect, we can actually see what we are working on.
