Seems to be very effective I put one in my garage and I can arm and disarm it from outside with the remote control even though I don’t have an alarm service that will send the police the very loud siren should probably deter anyone from sticking around very long if they do not belong there

If you have hearing issues as older people do, then this is exactly what you need. Although the instructions are lacking complete installation description it was well worth my money. Can be heard a long way. You don't even have to mount the speaker (siren) on anything. Just hide it under a table or anywhere out of sight. The power cord is a little short. It comes with all batteries. Shims may be required for door to trim alignment if they are not flush for the magnetic mounts. The magnetic mounts also "need a smooth surface" to mount to. I used a small 1 x 3, 4" long board wrapped with packing tape before mounting small board to door for magnet alignment so the backing tape would not release. I bought 2 of these. Well worth the money.

This is an excellent standalone (local only, non monitored) alarm system. We did not want to subscribe to any monitoring and did not want to be connected to the Internet. Price point was excellent and the combination of sensors, siren, key fobs was good for our needs. We did end up purchasing one additional door sensor, which was very easy to pair with the entire system. The instructions aren’t too bad (other reviews said the instructions were tiny and ridiculous, but we had no problems understanding them or reading them, maybe they upgraded them?). Straightforward installation. We had to carve out a tiny rectangular space for the magnet to sit in the wood door frame. Each door frame situation will be different, so we recommend you take a good look and measure before applying the high strength adhesive tape. The motion sensors work great. We have them mounted to our 10’ ceilings and they easily pick up motion. The siren is quite loud, just wish we could have an additional siren mounted outside as well as inside. Word of advice when opening the sensors to activate the little battery that’s included, is take your time, be gentle, and it will pop up without issue. Overall, a great product and we recommend.

I bought this alarm system for my home back in my native country, and I absolutely loved it! It comes with two motion sensors, door and window alarms, an extremely loud siren, and a remote control—making it perfect for my needs. It provides an extra layer of security for my home. I sent it over quite a while ago, and it’s still working perfectly, thanks to long-lasting batteries (we haven't even had to replace them yet). This kit is fantastic! This is amazing. Perfect stand alone alarm system. Just needs a working outlet for the siren and 9v battery for the sensors. I've had mine set up since January and haven't had to replace the batteries yet, but that will depend on the activity level in your space. The high decibel siren is perfect for getting intruders to depart the area. Especially if they do not expect it. If your concern is with people living in your general area, I would recommend setting it off a few times with the doors and windows open (weather permitting of course).

I wasn’t sure what to expect from a $70 security system with this many sensors in a kit. But honestly, it is everything I was hoping for in a kit. Though it appears somewhat made cheap at first glance (especially if using outside in the cold climate), I wanted it more as an inside alarm system when I’m not home and someone tries to break in. Very simple design but effective and works well with seemingly no false triggers in my opinion. I wasn’t sure about the remote controlling feature at first rather than a wall mounted code timer type but I’m rather pleased with the remote feature and there is a spare one in the kit too. The alarm is quite loud actually so much so that I put a lid on the siren to dampen it substantially so it wouldn’t annoy neighbours if activated. It was well thought of in the design in that the siren stays on even if you close the door after which would defeat the purpose obviously and I made sure the siren was mounted near the ceiling so a thief cannot access it to disconnect it. Certainly worth the small investment for peace of mind, great value and product, thank you.

It's great solution for home security. Working as expected. Cameras can't replace it.

You get what the product describes - one alarm/base module, two motion sensors, two remote control units and three magnetic proxy contact units. They all connect through rf wireless.

Very easy to install and certainly loud enough to startle and hopefully ward off any unwelcomed visitors. The key fob works well and it is small enough not to be cumbersome. I'm not sure yet about the 2-minute siren time. I think I'd like it to be longer, but if the thieves haven't left after 2 minutes perhaps ... they're not concerned enough. It's one of those items you buy that you hope never gets used.
