Is there an option to use an A/C adapter rather than batteries?

I just purchased mine, and it still uses the batteries, however after a quick 15 minute modification I was able to convert it over to using USB.  With the way I did it you can STILL use batteries if you want, and it still turns off when you shut the lid, but you can also connect it to any USB port (your computer, phone charger, portable battery pack, etc.) and power the ashtray that way instead.  The fan runs much faster when using the USB because I'm supplying it with more power than the pair of D batteries could provide, but using a smaller USB charger would fix that, or you could add a resister on to the cable or a variable fan power knob. Like I said, it wasn't hard to do, and you could get away with doing it using nothing more than a spare USB phone charging cable.  If anyone is interested let me know and I'll make a quick diagram.

How often do you need to change the filter? I use mine up to 10 times a day, only using it while smoking and closing the lid right after.

How many filters does it come with and about how many cigarettes does it hold?

It comes with one filter, but the filters are fairly cheap (about $9 for a two pack) here on Amazon. As for how many cigarettes it holds... I'm not sure what you mean. It has slots for 7 lit cigarettes, but there is room for 15 to 20 butts to fit in the tray comfortably (meaning the lid will still close tightly) before having to be emptied. I hope that helps. I love this because it's the quietest smokeless I have ever found.
