The Very Best of Dionne Warwick

The sound of these discs is great!

I haven't had a chance to play the CD yet, but like I said, it's Dionne Warwick, so I know that I am in for a wonderful listening experience! She and the late Burt Bacarach, really did make beautiful, uplifting, and soulful music together.

Great music, didn't dissapoint.

The cd cover not the same as picture shown. Not the first time on Amazon. Whats funnyis I bought the cd on Amazon and it came from Barnes & Nobile. Could havebought it there cheaper even with shipping.

Ms. Warwick is a.class act. I lost my first CD, and in the process of replacing several.CDs.

Having previously owned this CD for many years thought I would replace it as it was getting worse for wear. Really great album by an exceptional singer. Arrived in a couple of days so I didn’t miss my old one too long, well packaged, great price, so all in all well pleased.

比較的有名だと思う名曲「Do You Know the Way to San Jose」・・。私はこの曲を、恐らく２～３歳の頃聴いていて、その時丁度、何かしらの凄く怖い体験をしており、この曲とその頃の記憶が結びついてずっと今まで生きてきました。ただ今の今まで、この曲のタイトルもアーティスト名も全く知らないでいて、なんとたった数か月前、YouTubeで遂に分かったのでした。・・このように、ディオンヌ・ワーウィックの曲、ひいてはバート・バカラックの作り出す音楽には、かなり個性的なインパクト、特徴があると思われ、一度聴いたら耳にこびりついてなかなか離れないものがあるような気がします。それは同時に美しく、ときめきが封じ込まれている良質なポップスです。そして私はこのアルバムを手に入れ、数々の聴いた事があった名曲たちと再会することができました。"Walk on by" "I Say a Little Prayer" "Wishin' and Hopin'"など、いつかどこかで聴いた事があったはずの名曲ぞろい。日本のポップス、歌謡曲のメロディセンスには無い正にアメリカンポップスの魅力を感じることができました。（ちなみにこれを機に、今バート・バカラック氏の手掛けた曲がマイブームとなっており、彼のベスト盤も購入しました）2枚組で、相当数の曲が収録されています。選曲、曲の順番など、とても良い感じです。にわか発掘者ですが、少なくとも私には捨て曲は一曲もありませんでした。購入して良かったと思います。
