For the price this is a great backgammon set. Comes with everything needed and is well built. Everything is wooden. The case, playing surface, checkers, dice cups, and even the dice. Small and portable but large enough to easily play on. The felt under the checkers is a nice touch as it helps keep the checkers from sliding around while playing a game. We've been really pleased with the set and it looks nice on the shelf with the rest of our wooden games. Other larger wooden sets were roughly 3 times the cost (much nicer sets of course) but this little set holds up and is well built. Highly recommend...

My Turkish brother in law challenged me to the game of backgammon last year when we visited them so I had been wanting to buy one and learn it myself so can play with him next time we meet. Decent sets cost over hundred dollars so I was looking for something economical but decent quality. This fit the bill. The case has a nice handle but the locks are a bit flimsy. Inside the finish of the board is really well done. Although the dice could have been designed better. The lighter color die had blemishes on it. The checkers were all well designed and had a soft pad underneath for easy gliding. Overall for the price this set is designed well and ready to provide with hours of family time. I'm already learning it with my daughter and enjoying this game.

***Updated after company contacted me to make things right. Excellent Customer Service, much appreciated!!*** Previous review: Would not buy as a gift. I personally wanted to send it back but my husband liked all the quirks about it & we decided to make it our own buy fixing them with our own spin. Dice cups are ROUGH & not useable as is without sanding down inside. If they would have made the dice holder a tiny bit bigger (& chip holders could have been smaller), all dice could have fit flush. I did try to remove the dividers to make more room but it cut into the bottom/pressed board & ruined the finish. The edges of the game inside are also rough & will need to be sanded. Game is just a tiny bit too big for the chips so you have to play gently so you don't accidentally move players chips to the point before or after. Loved the beautiful wood colors but I'd suggest spending a little more & getting a higher quality board!

Doesnt take much space, great carry on for outdoors and not too tiny so its not pain to hold and move the pieces. And awesome pricing compared to others. Overall highly recommend it!

A bit too small and even that it looks OK it fells cheap, you will need to buy a 7mm dices since the one comes in the kit are big and not fun to play with

Very good, lasting construction. Easy to cart around with handle and simple, secure closure. Perfect size for playing.
