CoolBot Walk-in Cooler Controller | Convert a Well-Insulated Room into a Walk-in Cooler Using a Standard Air Conditioner and CoolBot

I have a 500 bottle wine cellar in the basement (Boston area). During summer months, it is important to keep it around 55 to 58 degrees. It is a 18x18x8 area and closed. Bought a LG 10.000 Btu window ac , the Coolbot works just perfect!! Will keep running until mid October, then off until May. This thing is amazing! Saved me thousands by not buying a special wine cooler unit ( 5k to 12k ).

Had my doubts, but preforms better than I expected. Built a new butcher shop with walk-in cooler and added a used 10,000 watt air conditioner. Hooked up the cool bot and within half hour temp it was 33°! Amassed!

This works just perfect

It’s a good product! We got this for our above ground cellar, and it has kept the temperature in the right range. The important things to keep in mind when doing something like this, are quality of insulation for the room, and being sure to get an AC unit that is a compatible BTU for the size of your space. There are other brands that technically could work that are cheaper, but ultimately the value for the money is better, because it comes with detailed instructions on all of the setup and planning. My advice is to start with the Coolbot, and plan your cooler accordingly around the Coolbot. The website will pretty much plan your whole project for you. Don’t do what we did and waste a whole lot of time and money TRYING to do it the cheap way.

It said that there was inconsistent data on midea brand window units but I decided to try anyway. It worked really well sometimes and then would completely stop working I thing it’s potentially because the midea is so entertaining efficient that the power just isn’t there to keep the temperature that low

I used the unit to override the cooling ability and limits of a "window shaker "air conditioning unit to use it as a cooling unit for my cool room. It cools down the room to an almost freezing temperature. Paired with the right cooling unit this item does a great job and is a way cheaper solution than a regular commercial walk-in Cooler, but is as good. Perfect solution for my private Sausage kitchen walk-in cooler.

Installed for our deer/pig hanging cooler. Was super easy to install. Brought the temps down quickly to the ideal hanging temperature. It's been a relief knowing we have this now, in case we get our deer earlier in bow season & it's 20C outside lol Fabulous product!!

Unit works excellent in our homemade walk-in cooler!! Let’s us hang our pork and game until we have time to process it. Would recommend to any home butcher. We have a cooler that can hang 6 pigs comfortably.
