Seals tight
For years, my 1985 BMW leaked gas fumes from the gas tank. I was never sure what the problem was. I replaced the gas cap once a few years ago but it didn't stop the problem. I put this OEM gas cap on and immediately the fumes stopped. Previously, after driving the car I had to air out my garage for an hour or so. Not any more. This one is tight and it works!

Doesn't leak, may vapor lock depending on your useage
Worked for my coleman ct200u to replace the leaking cap although it will vapor lock. Fixed this by adding a breather valve on the tank (drilled hole and used gas tank vent to attach) works great now

Cheap, but works. Barely.
This cap doesn't fit that well, it doesn't come close to feeling like an OEM cap. I went back to OEM. I can't recommend this unless you just need to save a little money. It keeps the gas in the tank, it works. But it feels like it is not quite right for the job.

stupids me left the gas cap on the decklid and drove off not knowing, so hence I have to buy not OEM factory replacement, so this works like a gas cap should....

Ford F150; 1978: Does not fit.
This cap does not fit a 1978 Ford F150 as recommended by Amazon. You should order the MGC-749 cap!
