Can theses be put directly into a pot of water, sitting on bottom of pot of water?

When you place it into a pot of the water it’s going to float instead of sitting on the bottom. plus you can uses the handle, place it on outside of the pot - around the rim, to hold the pot in place. Your pot floats unless you place something heavy in the pot to keep in place but that’s going to burn the pot plus the wax. It’s meant to float and steady pace melting the candle wax

How to use erik light candle making pouring pot?

I put the wax in the pot and the pot in a pot of boiling water....like a double boiler. When it is melted I remove the pot and let it cool a bit before pouring the wax in the molds
