I had a quote of $385.00 to fix microwave, decided to buy a new unit until I discover how difficult it was to find one to fit my kitchen cabinets. Looked at YouTube video and decided for the inexpensive price it was worth the attempt for me to repair. One hour later the repair was done and working properly for almost no money.

Work as expected and is a good quality part.Be Careful when handling this parts, first of all discharge the old HVC using insulated pliers and short the 2 contacts for a few seconds to liberate any residual voltage stored in the old part. After doing this you are safe to swap the new part and get your microwave back to normal operating conditions.Recommended part.

I was about to junk my 25 year old whirlpool microwave. I thought I'd give it a go and replace the Capacitor. I pushed the on button on the microwave and it works like the day I bought it. Note the Capacitor is a little bit smaller than the original one but hey as long as it works I'll be happy.😃

Had to replace both the capacitor and the diode. The microwave was arcing to the capacitor casing because the diode was open.Replaced both on whirlpool microwave and it is working fine now for several weeks.

I like how these are made to be as compact as possible. They also discharge much faster than other ones I have used. (I always short these capacitors out when I am done with projects though, as they can still hold a lethal charge.) If you are into high voltage, these would make a great reasonant transformer circuit, or part of a power supply. I would give five stars, but the spade lugs are not 1/4", so I was a little dissapointed when my female disconnect terminals did not fit.

This was the failed part in my microwave and easy to get to ..The only caution is to discharge the capacitor before removing in cause it is not the failed item . The part was easy to install and also needed to replace the fuse because it failed also ..

Once I diagnosed that the HV Capacitor was blown in my microwave, I order this replacement. It arrived a day early. I tested it before installing and it was perfect. I installed and fixed the microwave.
