Do these have a safety/fresh seal?

Yes. It seals after opening and the cookies stay fresh.

Are these cookies soft & chewy? Need to trick my elderly horse into taking her Previcox again.

No, these cookies are NOT soft and chewy. They are hard and crunchy. The horses LOVE them, but I don't think they are what you are looking for. Have you tried molasses to help your horse take Previcox? That worked very well with my guy who didn't want to take his medicine. Mrs. Pasture's cookies are really a great treat for the horses, but they would not be what you are looking for.

These came in a hard plastic container. There was no safety or fresh seal to remove. Do they usually have one or both?

Are these safe for dairy cattle?

I have always purchased these as a gift for my friend's horses - and they love them. There are no harmful ingredients so I don't suppose they would cause problems for dairy cattle - but I have no experience with dairy cattle.
