Derby Extra Double Edge Safety Razor Blades - Pack of 100 Blades

Before recently trying Derby blades, I was previously a loyal user of Feather blades. When I started using a safety razor 10 years ago I saw everyone online saying that Feathers were the best out there so I proceeded with them. I always got on pretty well with them although found them to be a bit too sharp and easy to cut yourself with. But in recent months I have found Feather blades have gone right downhill and every blade bar none in my last batch suffered from a defect where one side of the blade felt dull and almost painful to shave with. So I decided it was finally time for a change and tried Derby blades because I read a lot of good things about them. Wow, is all I can say. I wish I had used these from day one. They are sharp enough to provide a sublime shave but not to the extent where you end up with cuts when applying gentle pressure like I found with Feather blades. Both sides of the blades feel equally sharp and correctly manufactured. The cost of the blades is very reasonable. Overall Derby blades feel like the perfect blade and I won't be using anything else from now on.

I can state that they are effective or I would look like Father Christmas by now , so that is the main positive , 1 blade seems to last me about 5 days on average ( this will vary with the user ) You do have to work at them to get them out of all that plastic ! ( probably to keep children safe ) Remember somebody has to sign for them and you need a person over 18 in the household. Good value for the money. Many Thanks.

Good quality, just as sharp as leading blades, causes no skin irritation.

Nice traditional shave for men. I guess I'm pretty old school still using these for a shave but habits persist. I'm not spending silly money on gen z fluff my face gentle mommy boy shaves. I was brought up in the 1970s on Dirty Harry Movies so I'll shave my face with a blade.

100 blades for a fiver, try getting that for mach 3!!. Cut really well and glide over the skin smoothly, wont go back to "disposable " razors now at these price points.

It's very good with my skin, I don't have skin irritation and had a very smooth shave. It's not sharp as Feathers blades but it's effective enough for me. It's good combo with R41 Safety razors for me.

Diese Derby Extra Rasierklingen (älteres Model, gibt ja auch schon die "new" Sorte) ist für mich die absolute lieblings Rasierklinge. Die "new" Sorte ist auch ok, aber die "ältere" Sorte ist mir noch ein bischen lieber. Habe sie auch letztes Jahr für meine Hochzeitsrasur benutzt. Für mich ene gutmütige Klinge, die auch mal den ein oder anderen kleinen Fehler / Ausrutscher verzeiht ohne gleich zu schneiden. Rasurergebniss gut. Rasurbrandt habe ich auch nicht. Der Preis super. Ich werde sie auf jeden Fall wieder kaufen und kann sie auch sehr gut weiter empfehlen. Aber ich weiß, nicht jeder Mann kommt mit jeder Klinge gleich gut klar. Haut, Barthaar, Rasierer, Seife usw. spielen eine entscheidende Rolle. Bei mir ist das so: Ich rasiere mich 2x - 3x je Woche mit meinem King C Rasierhobel. (Und natürlich der Derby Extra) Ich habe ein rot - dunkelbraun - rote Barthaare, nicht sehr dicht, und eine hellere Haut mit etwas Sommersprossen. Ich benutze meistens die Seifen Proraso Weiß oder von Tabac original. Ich bin mit dieser Kombination sehr zufrieden. Und werde das so beibehalten. Schöne Grüße aus dem Westerwald.

Pleasantly surprised by the quality. Took some time to get used to. Think I might get more shaves per blade than feather.

Ad stated blades are Swedish made but packaging states 'Made in Turkey'
