Halfway there to RYO clove cigs
To be clear, the paper to these tubes isn't clove flavored, they're just *REALLY* smooth and lack the burnt paper taste I'm used to with Gambler tubes. I'm looking into blending cloves and tobacco in an herb grinder to see if it replicates those tasty treats, but I digress, that's not related to the post. The color of the tube is great, it reminds me of clove ciggies before they were clove filtered cigars. I like the look and this further confirms my theory that everything looks cooler in black. The filter is carbon-based, so, if you've an allergy to fiberglass this'd be a good substitute. The taste it intermingles with the tobacco is subtle, but there, a bit of sweetness to replace that acrid burnt paper taste of cheaper brands the filter is long enough to be effective, but not too long as to reduce the quality of the smoke. I've loaded 12 of them with my Topmaster deluxe roller and only had 2 casualties that was more operator error than tube failure. All in all, I am glad I bought these and even went so far as to set up a subscription. 50 out of 10 buy these and buy 'em again.

Carbon filters are great!
These filters are fantastic, but there have been some changes and now the paper on the filter comes off very easily. Not a big deal, but worth noting. The older style with the thin golden band seemed to be of a higher quality than the current production run with a thick golden band. They do look fancy, which is nice I suppose. There aren't any other carbon filtered cigarette tubes on the market, and that is worth it to me. For what it's worth I use fairly dry unflavored pipe tobacco and really enjoy the smoke. My manual cigarette packer can be picky with these tubes. The paper is very thin, which leads to tearing if you over pack the cigarette, which is easy to do. I always err a bit on the side of "less is more." I would leave a 4.5 star review if possible.

If the cuts and tubes was correct I would say worth the money
Tubes nice and smoke well but a lot of the the tube tip is not cut straight making it hard for machine to hold it right. Plus already and to throw away 25 of them, some the fill cut was so offset and the tubes wasn't round more like cone then flaird back out by the filter

Good tube but poor length.
I love the way this smokes as far as the pull on the cigarette and the taste. The packaging was pretty good and item was delivered in 4 days instead of 2, which I am pleased to receive. The cons to this beautiful black tube is the paper is too short for both of my king rollers. Both rollers tear the end of the cigarette once you push the lever to fill the tube. After pulling the lever back I dis*covered the end near the filter was empty. Yes, thru a lot trouble shooting to figure out just how much tobacco to put where in the roller...it worked better with less tobacco, more to the middle and back of slider than the front...even with all that work it still did not create a cigarette every time that was filled or w/o a tear. Above all, too messy with tobacco falling out the whole time of ANY handling. Knot willing to purchase again for the price...going back to Zen. I normally smoke 100's and RYO cigarettes has not yet given me that satisfaction (being new @ this 1 month ) sooo added trouble I do not choose to pay more for. The idea is to save money while trying to deal with addiction smoking cigarettes. This RYO is indeed causing a certain lack of confidence in my discipline that I am becoming more conscious of. Thanx fore that!

Do not burn evenly, only “good” feature is the charcoal infused filter, but only 1/4” or less
UPDATE : 12/23/2025 : these ended up being “leggy” meaning would burn unevenly, due to lack of control stripes or the lines you’ll notice on other papers. Best I have found are made by zigzag. Good packaging, nothing damaged for such a fragile product. The papers pure evenly and very well without any extra flavor noted. The filter is unnoticeably two parts, half “normal” filter and half speckled with carbon or charcoal like the way parliament used to do their filters (but this is not a recessed filter). Works very well with tube filling machines and set on low filling setting. So far so good, recommend them.

They're pretty but not for a joint
They're so nice to pack and super cute, but if I'm being honest with myself I don't see these working out as joint prerolls. I took a chance on them simply because I liked the color so I'm not too surprised it didn't work out, but I at least thought they'd burn slow. Nope. Burned so much faster than the weed that I was left with the skeleton of a joint smoldering to waste. It's been a sad day.

Fancy
They are not uniform in their making... let me list the ways for you. The filters very In length on each one The paper doesn't adhere all the way down the cigarette shift There are multiple print issues Some filters don't even fit the circumference of the paper When hand rolling the tips rip off the ends without filling the whole shift Their is constantly 1-5 mm where tabacco can't fill with out poking it through. There is absolutely no good taste The charcoal in the filters can be tasted All in all there are more complaint But I can say if your willing to deal with the trouble you'll feel fancy I guess.
