I received my order minus the whip and I contacted manufacturer customer support and not only were the quick to respond they sent me a new antenna. That to me is the reason why I keep purchasing this antenna. Not only do they really work especially for the type of antenna that they are. The value for the money is exceptional and the not only send but receive better than any mag mount that I’ve used. Yeah there are more expensive and reputable ones out there but if you’re on a budget these are durable, tuneable and they hold up. 5 stars

Very Important. The routing of the coax cable greatly affects the SWR. When I first received the Nagoya CB-72 antenna, I temporarily put the magnetic mount antenna on my hood and ran the coax thru the open passenger window. The SWR was 99.99:1. I was planning on returning the antenna. Then when I properly routed the coax thru the car frame and under the dash. My SWR was less than 2:1 across the entire CB band. Don't give up this is a great antenna.

Although I had to return the antenna because I couldn't get a good SWR, the seller we easy to work with. They gave me a quick refund. The poor SWR was due to the fact my car has little metal to attach the antenna. My only option was the trunk, which didn't work out well.

Exceeded my expectations in regard to magnet strength. Hold securely at highway speeds, as long as the base and mounting surface are both clean. Coax cable is of reasonable quality, can support being closed in a door jamb multiple times. Achieved reasonable SWR after playing with mounting location on roof, antenna itself has limited adjustment. Central mounting is critical. Antenna easily unscrews for low clearance areas, and a small rubber nipple is provided to cover the exposed threads. Works well as a roadtrip type antenna for quick easy mounting, without increasing your overall vehicle height too much.

Off the chart SWR and poor build quality. Two meters show an off the scale SWR. I don't detect a short or open in the antenna with my meter, so it's more work than I want to put into it. The loading coil doesn't seem to seal, so not sure I would want to use this out in the rain anyway.

This antenna was just what I needed. I haven`t hooked up my cb for 30 years or more. Worked right out of the box and installation was easy

As described

For my needs this didn't work. With the cheap cigarette lighter powerd/handheld cb it only had about 100 yards of range. Probably for a flat parking lot or just flat land it would have more range, but I'm in the back wood hills and need at least a mile. It was clear in the range it had, I recieved further than I transmitted. Very simple to install and I didn't have an issue with the wire length. I'd reccomend getting what I have if you need reliable range. 4 foot fiberglass antenna. I used a magnetic mout that I grounded to the vehicle. Crystal clear at 1.5 miles(behind a northern US hill or southern US "mountain") 8' 6" from ground to tip. Both antennas cost the same, but you'll have to get the magnetic mout seperate.
