Quality Tent
Great tent, stays dry in the rain. The room divider rolls in very close to the outter walls for an unencumbered large room. The rain fly can be easily placed over the tent before raising the legs to full height and the entire operation is easily accomplished by one person. However it does take considerably more time than the one minute claim to erect it. The extended rain fly over and around the front doors keep the area dry and allows for some items to be stored there out of the weather. We have had it for two camping seasons so far (about 21-28 nights each) and it is holding up well.

Durable, Roomy and Easy Set Up
We did a lot of research before buying a tent. After trying a Core tent we decided to return it and purchase the Bushnell 12 man tent. There is absolutely no comparison in quality. The Core tent was thin and seemed like it could rip easily. The Bushnell’s material is thicker and seems far more durable. Set up and take down were a breeze. My wife and I were able to put it up in about 5 minutes. The instant tent hubs snapped into place easily and the telescoping support poles were a breeze to expand into place. We didn’t use the fly this last trip since it was beautiful out and no chance of rain but we have used it before and it was easy to install - just clip it at the bottom of each pole. The six windows offer plenty of great airflow, especially with the rain fly not installed. All of the zippers are very sturdy. No catching and they zipped smoothly. About the only thing I’d change is the door. I prefer the hinged door some Coleman tents have, but most large tents have the same three zipper door. It worked fine - no issues - but a hinged door is more convenient. Overall, I’m very happy with the quality and functionality of this tent. The Bushnell is a tad more expensive than some but the quality of the tent more than makes up for it.

Good quality tent!
Love this tent! Very easy set up and take down. And you can actually get it to fit back in the bag. We did have rain and no leaks. Of course, we did water proof it first. We used a piece of indoor/outdoor carpet to put on the floor to protect the bottom from our camp cots. Also kept us sand free.

Bushnell 6 person tent is not a quick setup!
We purchased this tent for our upcoming dark sky trips we plan for the summer. We originally looked at a Bushnell 4 person tent. I’m glad we decided on the next size up. The six person tent will only hold a queen size air mattress and not much more. A four person tent would only be good for two adults if the six person is any thing to go by! Pros: 1) Easy set up. It does quickly pull out and up quickly if you have two people doing it. When we set it up the next time we will know the ins and outs of doing it! 2) It has nice sized windows (only negative no ties for the flaps so they hang loose) and the small air conditioning vent in the back will allow the camper to stay cool at night using a small 5,000 to 8,000 btu ac unit. 3) There are a few storage pockets in the tent which are nice and a large storage net at the top where you can store additional items. 4) It’s a tub floor which will help with water not getting into the tent. That is what this type of flooring is designed to prevent. 5) Power cord pocket that will let you run an extension cord into the tent. This is located on the left side of the front of the tent. 6) As of right now I cannot vouch for how rainproof it is. The material is very strong and sturdy! No issues with tears along the seams as some reviewers had. We will do what we’ve done before; buy seam sealer spray for the seams and waterproofing tent spray to give the tent additional water resistance. The large rain fly should afford additional protection from rain. 7) Heat shield technology should help with the hot Texas nights. We will find out how effective it is once we start using it during the summer! 8) The rain flys vestibule has pockets for storage. Nice to store the things you need to keep close and handy. Cons: 1) This tent does not come with any instructions at all. The setting up of the tent itself is a no brainer. Still, simple instructions would have helped out with a few questions we had. 2) The rain fly. Figuring out how it drapes across the tent is easy enough. The Bushnell logo is the front of the rain fly. Here, instructions for this would of helped to make that “60 second” setup more of a reality. After about 15 minutes we got the rain fly supported by the rods that support the small vestibule. NOTE HERE. At each of the bottom front corners of the tent by the loop for the corner tent stakes, you will see a round, 4” metal pin ring. These are used for the vestibule rods. You slip the bottom opening of each side of the rods onto the pin rings. This secures the vestibule rods and keeps them in place. At first we thought the ends would go into the ground and the legs would go within the rings. For us this was NOT the case. Doing so would of caused great stress on the corners of the tent and possibly damaged the tent itself. 3) This truly is not a six person tent. If you had six adults in the tent on twin size sleeping mats yes, but it would still be tight and not allow for any personal space. As stated above, a queen size mattress is almost too big for this tent. If you want additional room you’d either have to go up to the next size for the tent or use cots for sleeping. Cots would give you more space. 4) There is a gap between the inner rain fly edge and the tent itself. Not much but enough that a hard rain would come through that gap. As I stated, we have yet to use this tent. Husband and grandson will use it for backyard camping this weekend and we have rain coming so that will test how rainproof this tent is. Overall, it’s easy to set up, the bag you store it in has a zipper near the bottom that will expand the bag and allow you to fit the tent into it. This must be a new design of the bag as previous owners had a complaint about not being able to fit the tent into the storage bag. I will update this review once we receive a rain. So far that is the only “unknown” factor. Well that and wind!

This tent is better than expected!!!
So we bought this tent before we checked the weather of where we were camping. We set it up for the 1st time in 10-15 min max, including taking it out of the shipping box, laying tarps down, moving it, setting it up, then staking it. It was a joy not messing with 15 poles. It opened easy like an umbrella and then extend the legs. Easy peasy! About 3 hours after we arrived the Temps dropped into the mid 30s!!!!! We stayed pretty dang warm. Infact, at 4am I went out to for a potty break and felt the drastic difference in temperature inside the tent vs outside. The next three days brought poring rain and 40 degree Temps. We stayed warm and DRY! No leaks even with torental rain and heavy winds. This tent is way better than I expected. In the summer the large screen windows and side vents will help cool the tent down, I am sure. All in all highly recommend. We got the medium size. It fit our queen bed and two 49 inch dog beds. 2 folding chairs some tubs and tables. With space left to maneuver around. Did I mention durability. I have one 130lbs dog and one 100lbs dog. They are NOT gentle and the tent has stood up to scratching, trying to push the doors open, trying to poke nose through windows and screen doors. So it is durable! Great investment. If you are on the fence, I recommend buying it.
