Cal June USCG Approved Horseshoe

We bought this new yellow horseshoe to replace the 17-year-old original (which we don't leave out when not on our sailboat.) I discovered the depth is fatter than the original, but it does squeeze into our permanently mounted holder. The dimensions are the same so it doesn't extend wider or longer, just deeper. Otherwise, good quality.

This is the top of the line Horseshoe buoy. Nice and pretty new. Store in the cabin when not sailing, and hope that you never have to use it.

This is just the throwable PFD I was looking for at a very good price. Be aware, however, the picture shows this item with a bracket to mount it and this bracket IS NOT included. I was very disappointed but am keeping the item due to the good price. I've ordered a bracket but now must wait 2 weeks.

Excellent product, good value compared to store variants.

The line attached at the bottom is to short to attach to the holding sling so that you don't loose it. When attache to its self then it can be lost! When attached to the holding sling it is to short and flips upside down. I will be extending the length of the strap to accommodate the body to sit centered. BAD DESIGN. The horseshoe preserver itself, is of good quality. However, the picture of the product that I purchased showed the horseshoe along with a holding bracket. I was mislead to thinking it was included. I just bought a holding bracket that was related to the horseshoe product but I would have done that with my original purchase, had I known it wasn't included.

The one on my "new" boat was 38 years old!!! Flotation capabilities were obviously questionable.... This new horseshoe flotation device is just what is needed for a serious man overboard drill....which will hopefully always be only a drill!
