Very effective. Great for the price. Outside can get dirty
These things are pretty extraordinary compared to other cold packs I've used. I need food to stay cold for about 10 hours, so I have a bag that's two layers of neoprene, not just one. I put one of the three ice packs in there with my food, and at the end of the day, my food is at least as cold as it would have been in the fridge, and the ice pack hasn't even entirely melted. I'm sold on these. I'm ambivalent about their usefulness for using on the body. On the one hand, they stay cold so much longer than cold packs sold for that purpose, it's not even funny. When my hands are hurting, I can have one of these packs on my desk and use it off and on for hours. On the other hand, they freeze rigid, so it's like putting an extremely cold, slightly fuzzy rock on a bruise or swelling. If I could find a way to keep one half-melted, I totally would, because once they've thawed out a bit, the gel inside makes them conform nicely to the body. On the whole, I end up using them even when they are hard, because they're just so much colder and longer lasting than first aid freezer packs are. I don't really care about the sweat, but for those who do, the advertisement is correct. They stay entirely dry. I see reviews talking about the exterior as fabric, but to me it seems like a kind of flocked paper covering, and my issue with it is that it can get grubby. I'm about at the point of throwing one of my three away because it got a bit of sauce on it and there's no cleaning off the stain. But at the cost of these ice packs, I could replace them once every couple of months, and they last much longer than that.

Better than ice, ice baby
This review is for the Nordic Ice NOR1038 No-Sweat Reusable Long-Lasting Gel Pack, 16 oz. (Pack of 3). I ordered these because we were getting ready to head to the beach and really needed a light fabric cooler for the beach and also some ice blocks. These Nordic Ice blocks are a great size for just a small lunch box or, as I needed, good when putting 2 or 3 together inside a bigger cooler bag. A few tips that might help you have success with these bags. 1. freeze them for 2 days before you need them. (we bought 2 sets so we could rotate them every other day at the beach) 2. lay them as flat as possible so you fit them in between items in your bag easier. 3. don't poke them with sharp objects and they won't leak (pretty self-explanatory) These bags worked great for us and they really are sweat proof. My son froze one of them a bit wadded up and it didn't fit well, so we just thawed it up (which takes several hours) and flattened it and re-froze it. I'd recommend these over ice any day. They feel sturdy and like they should last a long time. Disclaimer: I received this product for free or at a discounted price in exchange for my honest review. (you can read my reviews and tell that I do not just give 5 stars because of this. I want my reviews to help others determine whether the product is a good fit for them or not and I would hope that I can count on others to be honest in their assessments as well. The product owners want good feedback and sometimes that feedback is negative but that is how they continue to improve their products.) If my review has helped you to make a decision about whether to consider purchasing this product or not, please press the YES button to reflect that. Thanks.

They don't get sweaty like other ice things
I took these with me on a trip to keep Breast Milk frozen. I put the milk in a bag that is meant to keep things cold, then I put that bag into a bigger bag with several of the Nordic Ice. I then put that into my suitcase. I left my house at 7:00AM and arrived at the hotel/took it out at 12:30PM. The milk was still frozen. I was able to keep a couple of these frozen in the hotel room's freezer (which can barely be considered a freezer). They don't get sweaty like other ice things. My only complaint is that two have gotten stuck to the freezer and ripped. I am not sure if they will leak, but to be safe I have them in plastic bags.

Wrong ice pack sent
First I have to say the ice packs works great for my lunch bag. However, I wasn't send the correct nonsweat ice pack. I received the regular plastic which will leave a small puddle of water in my lunch bag. This size does work to keep my lunch bag cold for my 14 hour shift. *******Update******* Demoted down to 1 stars. Most of the bags have ripped without being rough handling. The ripped from expanding while freezing. Very disappointed. If you want a better icepack buy something else

Great, versatile, gel packs.
Great ice gel packs., These are the same ice packs they use in hospitals for injuries or post operative procedures requiring cold for inflammation. Incidentally, they use this brand to keep foods cold while shipping. For instance, I received a wonderful box a delicious, perishable items after an illness & they box was packed with Nordic ice gel packs . Everything remained cold &fresh just as leaflet insert promised. They also come in several sizes . I use them year round.

Gets the job done, but not sweat free
Being advertised as 'sweat free' I expected the exterior to be a different material; more fabric-like. This is your typical gel in plastic freezer pack, and it's going to sweat. The exterior doesn't feel very durable, so I'm not sure these are going to last very long. However, they are fairly thick, so they do stay frozen/cold for a long time.

Hands down, the best ice pack. And it doesn't sweat.
I pack a lunch for work everyday and I often find myself eating about 8 hours after I've packed my lunch. I've tried most products to keep my refrigerated foods cold from glass containers, plastic containers, freezable containers, icepacks, coldpacks--they've all turned up short. Nothing is more frustrating than taking lunch break only to find your turkey cold cut is a moist room temperature. Then I found Nordic Ice. Nordic Ice works great, the packs stay cold up three times longer than any ice packs I've used in the past. In some cases, they are still partially frozen 14 hours later at the end of the day. The packs don't sweat which makes them ideal for storage inside a lunch container. Going back to moist room temperature turkey, moist lunch boxes are equally as bad. Some ice packs I've used have begun to wear out, developing tears in the lining. Nordic Ice feels like its made of a stitched material so it feels more durable and I've never worried about accidentally puncturing the container. Overall, a solid buy for anyone in need of a reliable ice pack.

[TMI] Superior to the Blue Ice for Pumping Moms
[Too much information/TMI warning!] I bought these ice packs to keep breast milk cool and stable when I'm traveling. Sometimes the only storage I have for pumped milk is my travel bag or my car trunk. I love Nordic Ice. It stays solid (thus cold) for much longer than the blue gel bags. The bag itself does not sweat (but the plastic bag or bottle for your milk might). Even when the pack is liquid inside you can feel it's still cool to the touch. One Nordic ice pack and an insulated lunch bag can keep 4-6 bags of 4 oz milk cool for at least 4 hours. You can get a longer chill time (5 hours or more) if you use a Nordic ice pack and a good cooler. Adding more Nordic packs to your container can extend the cooling time as well. Choose whatever length of time you feel comfortable storing your milk "outside" before you can properly refrigerate or ice it. Most breastfeeding guides recommend 3-5 hours for milk to be stable "outside" of a refrigerator or freezer. I would choose Nordic Ice over the blue gel bags any day of the week. They last longer and true to claim do not sweat in whatever container you put them in. These are harder to find in store, so I recommend purchasing a few of them online.
