DHP Clairborne Tufted Dining Chair (Set of 2), Wood, Taupe / Espresso

This order was a total surprise! I needed chairs for my dining table - the ones I had were wood and everyone complained about how uncomfortable they were - so I needed an alternative that wouldn't break the bank. I'm in a rental and didn't want to invest too much in nice chairs (I know that sounds ridiculous, but I tend to love furniture and keep buying new stuff). I ordered 4 of these as a place-holder for my table and was surprised at how much I loved them when they arrived. Yes, the upholstery material is velvet, so it has the problems that comes with velvet - it needs to be brushed regularly with your hands in one direction so it doesn't appear discolored or old, which is my biggest cosmetic problem with velvet. My favorite part of these chairs is the back, because the piping has been done beautifully around the back, it has clean lines and is well-made. The tufting is a comfortable depth and adds a lot to the over-all look. The chairs feel substantial and heavy, not light, cheap or uncomfortable. It took about five minutes to build each chair. When these arrived, the box said Cocoa, not Taupe. I didn't get a wonderful idea of the color on the pictures, but I needed something in the brown family, so I decided to just try them. They are a nice shade of brown-ish grey, they'll go well with black, brown, white, red and gray furniture. A pair arrived in a single box. The build quality and look is great and everyone at home is really enjoying these chairs. My only complaint would be that the very edges of the seat, facing away from the back rest look under-stuffed, I'm not sure why they are so flat, but I have noticed that because of that, the edges of the seat don't bend down when you sit down, which does happen on another pair of velvet tufted chairs I own. I’d definitely recommend these if you like the elegant tufted velvet look. Mine are no longer place-holders, I'm keeping these and I'll probably order another pair soon.

I love how solid these chairs are. They are very attractive. However the legs wobble on both. The dents in the corners were very minor in one of the chairs and puffed up after a day or so. The wobble- we have tried swapping legs between the two chairs and loosening and retightening and level surfaces and still a wobble on each one. I even removed the plastic gliders on the bottom and will try felt pads instead. We got a good price on the set. Update: took a lot of tweaking but the felt pads evened out the wobble in one chair. I literally had to use my hacksaw and trim an tenth of an inch from the top of one of the front legs so it would insert into the screw holes level and that sweat equity equaled no wobble. Again the price for the chairs made it worth my sweat equity. They are so solid and luxurious looking for this price point.

I really like these chairs. The are good quality for the price. They look high end and I get compliments on them all the time! I bought my table from ikea so it needed to be dressed up a little and these really make it look overall a lot better in my dining room! They were super easy to assemble, didn’t even need my husband!! They feel sturdy and I love that! My chairs didn’t have anything wrong with them like I read in their reviews. I ordered the color taupe and they look more gray to me which I like same as in the picture. I WOULD RECOMMEND

My husband and I went all over town looking for chairs to go with a round table we purchased at Pier 1. After looking at Pier 1 and other stores we decided to try these due to the high price of most chairs that looked similar. Most importantly, we wanted comfort and a modern look. These chairs are just as or more comfortable than the Pier 1 chairs, but actually the style and color of these are superior. The legs are zipped inside the liner underneath each chair. Super easy to assemble and look fantastic. I had to reread the price a few times- yes, you get two for the price listed!!

These chairs are beautiful and very well made! Exact color I was looking for, my daughter will love these for her christmas present! I also can't believe the great price I got these for. They were very well packaged and I didn't have one single issue. The legs were easy to attach and once they were on they were not wobbly at all. I have another package of these coming in a few days so I hope that they will be just as great! I am very very pleased you will not be disappointed and I can't say enough good things about them!

The chairs are beautiful – but chairs also have to function. Both chairs in the set I ordered have one leg that is a good quarter inch shorter than the other three legs. We spent a lot of time trying to fix it - switching the legs between the chairs – but the front left one was always too short. The legs are the same length so I believe the problem is in the seat frame. The pre-drilled holes are obviously off a quarter inch. I have to return - but what a pain. After spending a couple hours working on the chairs trying to get them not to wobble, I now have to undo the legs and try to repackage back in the box and send back. There is obviously no quality control on these chairs.

These chairs are beautiful, the cushion is plump and firm, and the legs are not wobbly. However, the legs are NOT espresso color! I bought these chairs three years ago and they still hold up amazingly well. I needed more of them and ordered another set, but it came with an ugly light color legs. Ugh! A replacement got ordered, and it showed up with the wrong color legs again. Apparently, the color has changed, but the listing does not reflect that! The box the chairs came in also says “Espresso” on it, but it’s just not the case. All in all, great chair if you’re willing to deal with the ugly leg color.

I really like the overall look of the chairs. Very easy to assemble. However, one front leg on both chairs is too short. I contacted Amazon and was told I couldn't just get a new leg. I needed to return the pair, and repurchase. Seems like a whole lot of trouble for 2 chair legs. I didn't bother, and will just have to live with 2 wobbly chairs.

Searched everywhere for chairs like these. Best price by far and quality is outstanding. Easily wipeable for toddler fingers, amazing comfort, high class look.

The chairs are beautiful. We did have a little problem putting the legs on because at first we could not get them even which left them wobbly. But, we fixed the problem with having someone sit in the chair while we adjusted the legs. We did a total reno of our dining room and the chairs look amazing!

High quality item, super fast shipping, easy to assemble and very sturdy. Packaging was solid. Highly recommend.

The chairs are absolutely beautiful and I do love the style. We picked them to go with two beautiful king chairs of a similar style. The description says the legs are a espresso dark wood colour and they are not. Our dining table and floors are a deep dark expresso colour. You can see from the picture that is far from a dark coloured wood. I would love to keep them but the legs really stand out and don't look right with our table and floors.
