I used a couple of cores to eliminate EMI and RFI on a can light that was flickering due to a dimmer for another light set on the same circuit.

Working excellent. Highly recommend these.

Does what it is supposed to do, help eliminate RFI. Workes on large diameter coax cable. Not sure how much power it can handle, though.

Clips are way too difficult to open, broke 2 of them just trying to open them up. I then put 5 of them on a small AC to DC laptop adapter to try and eliminate the noise it was putting on the line, but it had no effect.

These work well at reducing Radio Frequency Interference. Snap Choke Cores will NOT eliminate RFI, but will reduce it to a point where interference will not be an issue. Take Note: the diameter of cable / power cord to be used on. The power cord on my microwave oven has a width of 12.7 mm (1/2 inch). The inner diameter of the snap choke core must have space to fit over cable / cord. The more snap choke cores used the higher the RFI suppression. So many uses: AC power cords, coax, DC power cables, Audio and Video cables.

I was always skeptical that these cores work but I saw them working in real time. I was helping a friend solve RF interference into his computer. His ham transmitter and antenna were very close to the computer and when he would transmit the screen would get a bunch of pattern lines on it, the keyboard and mouse would not work, and lots of noise coming out of the speakers. We started adding these cores to the power and signal lines for all the devices and one by one as we went the problem completely disappeared. Not just a little better or that's good enough. It was completely solved. I am no longer skeptical. I use these as well and I was able to get instant results solving some RF interference problems with a computer to ham radio interface. Make as many loops through the cores as you can and still snap it closed for best results. Buy with confidence. These work.

Took a bit of fiddling to discover how to open the clamping mechanism. Small jewelers screwdriver was the correct tool to get under the clip that secures the ferrite clamp. Did not appear to reduce the common mode noise I have been trying to discover the source and eliminate.

Well designed to go around most cables, however, one out of the five delivered the latch is broken, so it will not close.

Well cant use any of the ones i received. Why? Because no one in my family of 5 can figure out how to open them up. No instructions came with.
