This is it. The holy grail of SPF. I thought I would never find it!
So, this seems to be the miraculous ideal sunscreen I have been seeking for years: physical block without titanium dioxide, high SPF, no creepy chemicals, isn't greasy or shiny, doesn't break me out, and feels good on my skin. EVERY sunscreen breaks me out or leaves my skin feeling itchy or congested if I leave it on all day!! This one doesn't, and I have been wearing it every day for two weeks straight. Yes, it leaves a white cast which is stronger the more product you use. That is NOT the fault of the sunscreen. It's just the nature of the ingredient zinc oxide, and if you want the calming and sun-blocking benefits you just have to put up with some whiteness. I've gone out in public with the white cast a few times and it's not horrible but it does make me look more fair and gothic than usual, so instead, here's how I deal with it: I work it in fast and don't rub more than necessary. Then when it's set, I buff a bit of Colorescience Pro Sunforgettable SPF 50 Powder on top to even out the white cast. (The Colorescience powder is kind of expensive in its original dispenser but I just bought the refill and swirl it in a glass with a kabuki brush. It comes in different shades, which you can see on their website, and Amazon has reasonable prices on the refills.) The effect is natural looking and leaves no hint of white cast, and provides me with a LOT of sun protection -- 50 SPF layered on top of 30 SPF! And all that while not irritating my skin or giving me acne? I consider it a miracle. Another sunscreen hack I've been doing that is working well for me is to add a small squirt of moisturizer and mix in my fingers just before applying, which helps it slip a bit better and have a little bit of moisturizing factor -- I've been using a squirt of Hyalogic Episilk PHA hyaluronic acid serum but I bet you could use any moisturizer you like -- and then I do the powder step. Anyway, if, like me, you have tried everything and thought that you would never find a sunscreen with natural ingredients that felt good on your skin and didn't make you look greasy and ridiculous, give this one a try.

Horrible pilling no matter how I applied it
This sunscreen is terrible. I wanted to love it, because I liked the ingredients list. However, it rolls off my face in little balls no matter what type of moisturizer I apply it over - water-based, silicone-based, oil, bare face. It can't protect my face if it won't even stay on. The white cast is also pretty intense, and I am fair-skinned. If it agrees with your skin and does not pill off, it might work for you if you have oilier and fair skin. It did not sting or burn, at least. However, due to the pilling issue, this is the first sunscreen that I can't even find an alternate use for, like hand cream or body sunscreen - it won't stay on so it can't protect anything and the white balls get everywhere.

Better sunscreens out there
I'm disappointed with this sunscreen, but I think it can be beneficial depending upon what a person is looking for. I was wanting this for using under my makeup, but for me, it doesn't work for that. It tends to pill up a bit and can leave some patchy spots under makeup. I've used it on my neck and body (to use up the tube) and for that, it's mostly fine. I say mostly, because when I bring my foundation down my neck, it can pill a bit, but on my body where there's no makeup, it works just fine. It does take a little bit to sink in, but does leave a healthy looking glow on the body as it's absorbing. It has just a mild smell, that dissipates quickly. I like that the brand is cruelty free, and while I have sensitive, acne prone adult skin, this does not break me out at all.

sunscreen in general is awful, but this one is less awful
I feel the need to say something from reading these other reviews. This is a sunscreen. Sunscreens are terrible unless you are willing to shell out 50 -100 dollars a pop. I'm not sure why we can put people on the moon and split atoms but we can't figure out how to make a decent sunscreen that doesn't make you look like a ghost. If you are anything but pale white, this will look like you are wearing sunscreen. You will have to put some kind of tinted moisturizer on top or something. This is a thick, white sunscreen. It will protect you from the sun - the number one enemy of youthful and healthy skin. You cannot apply this like a moisturizer, or a primer, or a serum, you have to layer this or you will burn. This is not a makeup product. Do not wear this on your wedding day. You must use like a shot glass on your face. I know it's horrible. But this is the way of the world apparently. This is a physical sunscreen made with zinc. Zinc is better than titanium for this purpose for some reason that I don't fully understand. It is 16% zinc, that is why it is thick. Because there is zinc in the sunscreen. If you want a thin sunscreen, you need to use a chemical sunscreen. Chemical sunscreens may irritate your skin, kill coral reefs, and mess with your hormones, but they will look better on your skin. It's your choice. I know it's horrible. So if you want a sunscreen that has only zinc, (no chemicals and no titanium), and does not cost 50% of your salary, this is a solid choice. You must reapply because physical sunscreens will move off of you once you start sweating. Basically, the 99% must deal with horrible sunscreen. This sunscreen is a solid sunscreen that will protect you from the sun if used properly.

I highly recommend the seller and the product. The seller was swift to rectify the issue of the product not being received and sent a replacement. The seller was also very courteous and I think it is important to mention this. The product goes on very nicely, it doesnt make my skin oily it just looks healthy and provides a perfect base for make up. But I do find that when I apply this sunscreen it is possible to go without make up as it seems to make my skin look more healthy. I wish this were available in the UK as it takes longer to arrive due to it coming from the US. I recommend this product and would definitely buy again.
